Speedrunning

So anyone here take up speedrunning games? I've only been doing it since March but It's pretty addicting when you gain followers and you start to get records. I have 2 World Records so far.

Damn, 2 world records? What for? And where can I watch your runs?

I've only ever tried to do a speedrun of Tower of Heaven. Fastest I can do is 02:37. I think the world record right now is 02:03, though, so I've probably got some work to do.

I like running two saves per RPG a speedrun, to know what to do, and a completionist run following behind.

My Legend of Grimrock speedrun is up on https://speeddemosarchive.com/ and my youtube https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEA0289068E1A7BD8 that was the only speedrun I've done fully. I did a few levels for CoD4 that were better than the times on the site, but I'd have to do the whole game to send it in. I think I could easily beat the speedrun time for Fallout 2, but there is a coding issue in Fallout that means the travel speed on the overall map is tied to your CPU, meaning current day CPUs make you move way faster than intended and you have to alter the config file to fix it. I'm not sure what their view on this would be.

I only speedrun games no one cares about. Not to get WRs, but just so the games can get a run for the other fan or two of the game.
