Loved the atmosphere and visuals, but finicky controls and movement issues kept me from enjoying it as much as I could have. The game wasn’t difficult, but I died dozens of times falling off platforms. I’m sure part of that is a skill issue on my end, but the game wasn’t very forgiving in that aspect.

Dark, mysterious and quite interesting little game, doesn´t take too much time to complete so it is important that moment feels needed which it does. I´m really interested in the sequels.

Eerie, mysterious, yet charming.

Good
- the game gives a powerful sense of mystery, eeriness, and a bit of fear without a single word or dialogue. This is quite impressive.
- visuals are really creepy butts there's a certain cute charm to the game at the same time. I think it's the way the protagonist moves around. It's very childlike. The visuals also remind me of an old game call evil twin, which I liked a lot back then.
- carrying and throwing around objects feels realistic. the way the object interacts with the character and the environment it's what you expect. For example, a pot will topple over if you lean on it too much. A glass will break if it falls down from too high up, a toilet paper roll Will roll if you throw it, etc etc.
- the view of the game shows the sections in between floors, which makes the whole thing looks like you are staring into a open dollhouse. Added to this effect is that the place is constantly swaying around. This can be seen with objects rolling and sliding a boat in some rooms. I think is over all adds to the eeriness of the atmosphere
- the puzzles are really interesting. They require you to be creative, and try to use common sense with regards to household objects and physics to solve the problem, and get to the next area.
- watching the protagonist struggle with items that are bigger than it juice the game a realistic feel. Also the way she struggles to open, pull, climb sayings also adds to this effect. And if she drops from a Heights you can tell she gets hurt a little, and if she falls from really high up shell of course die.
- when the temperature is cold you can see her shivering.
- there is a ever sense of growing mystery surrounding the whole atmosphere. Like who is this child? And what is this place? Who is the ominous leader?
- the music is really fitting for the environment. Especially when your character is hungry, and the children chanting sound plays in the background.
- the final area was really intense. It changed the dynamic of the game a little bit, grotesque to Erie. I only wish it was longer, because it felt like it was going towards a really interesting direction.
- the mysterious story behind the game it's very intriguing. In the kids story that part where all the little hats creatures stand in the front of the fireplace suggest thought they where also kids but lost their human form. Maybe because they got captured.
- the sounds of objects dropping and hitting surfaces is very crisp and clear, enhancing the tension of the stealth gameplay. Every little action has a sound associated with it.
- the game makes clever use of object placements sometimes. Like when you face the lady. You never know when she's going to pop out, so the game puts a lot of mannequins that resembles her image in the foreground which makes you second-guess where she might come from, which also builds on the tension.
- the parts for your against the lady is just really well done. If you're scared of those Asian horror movies, this would be the gameplay version of that same fear.
- The AI enemies were designed and programmed very well. Almost no death felt cheap.

Bad
- it's hard to tell whether some of the objects are in the background or the foreground. 1 parts where you are writing a zip line and I thought the bad guy was in the background but he was actually in the foreground, the same alignment as me. Another time, I was trying to grab the chain outside of the ship but the camera was so far away that I couldn't tell where the chain was relative to my position
- that entire fat people chase segment reminded me of spirited away. Never really experienced something like that in a game, or at least in the same way. How they are all chasing you like mindless maniacs, combined with the music building up
- sometimes an object in the foreground my block your view as you're traversing in the background. Though this is rare.
- some of the puzzles we're a little bit finicky because the physics didn't work perfectly well with what's the developers intended. That part in the kids story where you had to bring a lever down into the pool of water and move a box was guilty of this. You have 2 so believer onto the box then turn on the box and throw the livre onto land. The problem is that you can only throw the lever onto the box at a certain angle. The many failures led me to try an abundant amount of other methods which were obviously futile. The thing is that I knew the solution to the puzzle, but it was the crummy physics that led me to fail it. I tried many other methods but they were obviously
- in the kids story there is a part with a trolley, which you have to push beside a shelf to climb up some boxes. But it is unclear that you can climb on those boxes, because they look like they are part of the background. Besides a lamp shining light down in that relative area, there is nothing

This somehow looks easier than LN2, I was able to finish it way faster than the second game but it was appealing too! I had a lot of fun and the settings were amazing. It just feels shorter than I imagined and the bosses were too easy to beat, and the final boss too! Aside the difficulty, it was a very pleasing experience and not really frustrating, even if the BUTTON to press while throwing objects at them were a pain. I love Six <3

The concept and atmosphere of the game are great, however, finicky (sometimes unruly) controls, long load times and some poorly designed puzzles keep it from being a truly enjoyable experience.
It’s still above average and thanks to its short length a recommended buy on a sale.

I first started to play the game on the switch, but couldn’t really enjoy it, because the loading screens were so god damn long. At least 30s, but probably around 1min, which really threw me out of the game. Thankfully I decided to give the game another go on the PC, because it is such a gem!

I had a blast playing it. The atmosphere is delightfully creepy, provided by a great art style, soundtrack and lighting. This game is a perfect example of how to use lighting to subtly guide a player + I also really liked the little lighter we as a player got.

The reveal of being on a (cruise?) ship, was really surprising, but it made so much sense. I wondered while playing about things like the subtle swaying in some levels or the size of the kitchen and the huge amount of dishes. But these could have just been a result of the level design, it’s not uncommon for games to do that, but NO there is an actual explanation behind it! This really made me happy.

Some random thoughts:
- It broke my heart, when Six ate the little nome in the last chapter
- They really turned up the creepiness level with the final boss fight (loved it)

- Amazing soundtrack
- While trying to get the “Kitchen Hand” achievement ( I gave up at some point, because my throws never hit the pot), I died a lot and I loved how many death animations they included. Depending on where the chef grabs you, you get thrown into boiling water, put on the cutting board or even get stuffed in a fish. Pretty neat detail
- Six must be the hungriest video game protagonist outside of a survival game I’ve ever encountered
- The game reminded me at times of Inside (especially the beginning and the “guest” chapter + the gameplay in general), the Alice Madness games and Spirited away in all the best ways.
- the collectibles were great. Not too many, not too hard, but also not too easy

I liked Little Nightmares a lot! I had to play it twice, as it is VERY easy to ruin your save via the menu without meaning to. It's got a really committed surreal-but-kinda-cute horror aesthetic, and the gameplay is rock-solid. It's also pretty short! You could probably get through a normal playthrough in ~5 hours. The little DLCs they put out after add a lot as well, imo

Little Nightmares is an indie game about the horrors of childhood, amplified into the way a child sees them, overexaggerating them with a Tim Burton-ish aesthetic. At least that's what I think it's about. My problem with Little Nightmares is that I leave the game wondering what it even means. What is Little Nightmares supposed to be? Was it worth my time? What do I get out of this? I certainly didn't enjoy my time with it, but it wasn't offensive either. The game's design of Stealth, Platforming, and Puzzles are rather unintuitive and bland, even at best, and the suspense you get isn't particularly great either, for many of the chase scenes falter due to clumsily made platforming at times. Ultimately, I walk away feeling remarkably underwhelmed.

Liked this game so much, decided to buy the sequel. I like it when a game is unique and trying to do different things. Was never into indie back in the day but I'm becoming an indie enjoyer now. Good ambience and horror vibes from this game. Did not expect the plot twist and loved all the levels. Short good game that isn't scary but tense. Wouldn't mind replaying this game.

True to its name, Little Nightmares brilliantly delves into the unsettling experience of navigating a nightmarish world through the eyes of a young child. The game skillfully captures the essence of helplessness, intertwined with a touch of innocence, using its gritty art style to immerse players in a haunting atmosphere. Whether it's how tiny you are compared to everything else, the freaky environments, or the wild designs of the bosses and levels, it all adds up to this over-the-top look into the fears that plague a child's imagination.

Little Nightmares

Pontos positivos:

- Ambientação: Se passa dentro de um navio submarino com diversos cômodos como quartos, banheiros, cozinhas, depósitos e mais, sendo uma atmosfera bem escura e sombria;
- Gráficos: Tem um gráfico bem único e muito bonito, com personagens extremamente caricatos e sombrios, remetendo um pouco à um estilo parecido com Salvador Dali e misturado com o filme Pink Floyd The Wall pela forma de rostos e corpos;
- História: A história não tem um narrador ou explicações de texto para contar, deixando ela em aberto para interpretações. O jogo aparenta fazer diversas referências com maldades da vida real e deixar o jogador entender por sí próprio o que está acontecendo no mundo sinistro de Little Nightmares através dos cenários tenebrosos e fúnebres;
- Gameplay: É divertida e tensa, o jogo se baseia em fugir dos personagens hediondos que querem nos fazer mal e solucionar puzzles, alguns deles até que bem complicados;
- Efeitos sonoros: O jogo trabalha muito bem os efeitos de som, acelerando a música e misturando com batimentos cardíacos do personagem, com o objetivo de causar tensão no jogador.

Pontos negativos:

- Duração: O tempo de jogatina é um pouco curto, apesar da DLC complementar bem este tempo;

This game tries to be a puzzle game (like Machinarium) and a platformer (like Inside) and fails at both.

Pros:
+ The art direction is dark and creepy. It doesn't reach the heights of Inside or Limbo, but it's good and i's the best part of the game.

Cons:
- Controls are awful. The camera moves around a lot, but the controls don't reposition themselves in relation to it. So running in a straight line is always a challenge.
- The puzzles are meh (not awful not great). But they don't work well with 3d art-style. Pixel hunting becomes even worse than in old style puzzles games. I needed to google walkthrough twice and both times I would never guess that the items mentioned would be interactive. If you check the concept art section, you'll see that they wanted to do a 2d game first. And the game would be better if they kept this vision.
- The game is super glitchy (especially in the DLCs). On my Series X I needed to reboot the game after every second death, because the game just got stuck on the black screen.

For the style of the game, it's almost perfect. Timeless graphics, impeccable ambience, great soundtrack. The only defects I found were the interaction with objects (which sometimes doesn't work as expected) and the input lag. The adventure is short (about 3 or 4 hours), but what matters is the experience it provides. Unique game. It is worth it (The DLCs are good too)
