Some good additional content to the main game. Its fun to revisit some of the characters and places from the main game + you get some more insight into the lore (e.g. an explanation of the origin of the cute little gnomes (the little mushroom looking guys that are running around)

Review for the chapters:
I hate water levels and water levels in which you get chased by something are even worse. So the first dlc chapter was my least favourite.

I love the maws, they are so fricking cute and this time you could not only hug them but also work together with them to fire up the big oven. Again the whole game gives me big “Spirited Away” vibes, in all the best ways. They maws sometimes got stuck on stuff and I encountered two bugs, that forced me to restart, but besides that I had fun!

By far the creepiest chapter of the three. I enjoyed the puzzles a lot. The only thing I didn’t like were the shadow porcelain monsters in the end. The control of the flashlight was sometimes a bit iffy and it kinda sucked to die because of that. But it wasn't that big of a problem. The story/ lore revelations in the end were pretty cool!

I think that the Secrets of the Maw DLC collection was a slight step up from the main Little Nightmares game - the levels flowed better and had more interesting design. But, it didn't do anything to correct the imprecise and frustrating controls that were a flaw from the main game. Overall, I did enjoy Secrets of the Maw quite a bit, though! The new levels and enemies were spooky and disturbing, and there were definitely more situations where I felt a sense of urgency and danger. Secrets of the Maw leaned a bit harder on puzzle solving than platforming, which I enjoyed, and it made for a satisfying playthrough.

Really nice addition to the game. The episode format really works here, and reduces the frustrating sections of the main game while also exploring new mechanics and gameplay. The third one was definitely the better one, with the right balance of exploring, engaging puzzles and lore. The ending alone makes worth it playing.

Fun game, but WHY THE CAKE WOULD YOU END IT LIKE THAT?!?!?! You were just trying to be nice with the sausage! When playing, I was thinking "fun, scary, RUN CHILD! RUN! Fun, puzzle, RUN CHILD!"
