I like this game a lot. I got into because it was a metroidvania simular to hollow knight. While playing I found it to be a bunch of fun. The art style of the game was great and never declined in quality. The game design was great and very intuitive. Did not need to look up anything online in order to complete the game.
I feel like I should mention some of the downsides which might be that its a bit easy and most bosses can be killed through just spamming attacks.
The fact this was made by one person too! One person did almost everything for this game is incredible. Highly recommend.

Сюжет дуже простий, персонажі гарні, гру проходити цікаво. Геймплей непоганий, не набридає. Саунд простенький, але не поганий. Графоній також простий, але претензій до нього впринципі немає.

9.7 hours to get 95% completion. I can't imagine where the last 9 upgrades are. I've filled out pretty much the entire map. Apparently this was made almost entirely by one person, which is incredible. It's very well made. The level design, abilities, and story all come together into a smooth, cohesive whole. I don't really consider it a truly great game just because it's mostly a pretty breezy experience. I played it on hard but none of the bosses took me more than a few tries. There's a few good upgrades but not a ton. The map is a good size but not huge. The story is solid but nothing particularly special. The game sort of floats by on good ideas and clever designs. Which is fine for what it is. It's like a much kinder and gentler Hollow Knight. My favorite thing about the game is actually the writing. I laughed out loud a bunch of times. (Lean more into this aspect!) The characters are cute, funny, and memorable. It might be cool if it had more interactions with characters in settlements or with some quests of some kind. In any case, good game.

This game feels underrated. It's a really good metroidvania filled with good levels and bosses. Not only are the controls very fluid, but the progression in power is also smoothly paced. The only main problem I have with it is that to backtrack in order to progress can get a bit tedious; especially if you reach a dead end and need to explore new exits. Even with upgrades, teleports are bit spaced out and searching for the right path can get kind of tiresome without any direction. The NPC that offers a hint waypoint still keeps it vague, but it never shows what is needed to progress. Other than being lost part of the time, the game plays great.

Fun motroidvania...didn't introduce anything new. The game did a great job at rewarding the player as well as brought some fun bosses. Late game ended up being me spamming ground pound since it did an insane amount of damage...which is kind of sad. I enjoyed the game but definitely had a lot of things that could have been done better.

SO nice to play, by the end when I had all the upgrades I was zooming around the world collecting stuff and killing enemies without thinking. That feeling of power from such humble beginnings reminds me a lot of hollow knight. Huge recommend.

I absolutely loved this game and the music and the vibes of this game. The game was so simple but yet so challenging, you get your Metroid Vania / Castle Vania vibes from this game with the cute story and I def could see myself doing a hard run of this game. This game I got 100% free on epic games and I have to say, the developers of this game did such an outstanding job of this game. I told all my friends to go and get it when it was free on epic games stores. Game totally is a 10/10 aka 100% one of the best games I have played in my lifetime.

Islets is a dope little MetroidVania with a cool island sailing premise. The MetroidVania combat and exploration are a tad generic but well executed and the game doesn’t overstay its welcome. The map-marker upgrade made the 100% quest super satisfying as well. The visuals are good but the environments are too blocky to feel like real places. The music is outstanding though.

The island stuff is the real selling point here. I don’t want to spoil it but it’s got some amazing twists on the formula and makes the game stand out. It’s worth playing just for that. Islets is a tad short and generic but it’s very polished and offers enough new twists to stand out.

хорошая метроидвания, понравилась pg-13 фэнтези атмосфера и, особенно, по-хорошему безумная музыка. Два саундтрека – из первой локации и из битвы с боссами – несколько дней проигрывались в голове. Сначала показалась слишком казуальной, но потом появился умеренный challenge. Так же игра довольно длинная, ~10 часов, но провел я их неплохо.

Boring and uninspired combat, room design is blocky literally everywhere while characters are round/triangle-y which leads to the art being mismatched nearly always - buy on sale for
