Great game. Wish there was less back tracking and they hadn't followed the souls formula so much rather have my jedi be just a straight badass. Yes I know there are difficulty options. Side note maps utter crap. Most collectibles pointless but none the less I enjoyed my time with it.Updated 3 Days Ago

An excellent single-player adventure, Jedi Surivor raises the bar for the first game and pleases as an excellent sequel. The 4 years that separate these two games show a clear evolution, a sophisticated and entertaining gameplay. The level-design, which was a huge problem in the first game, is another major improvement.
The world of Jedi Survivor is fantastic, embracing the Star-Wars universe well, even though there are only a few planets, they are all exceptionally well constructed.
The characters and in particular Cal Kestis are extremely positive points, being very charismatic and entertaining. However, the story in general leaves something to be desired, being a simple and very predictable narrative, so don't be surprised if even before the end you can predict what's going to happen.
Overall, I'd say that Respawn has done a great job on this sequel, with a few negative points, but it's still a great game and a memorable experience.

I only have 2 complaints. First, the exploration and mission design relies heavily on backtracking if you want to unlock the majority of side content. I personally did not enjoy the way this was implemented. Second, I thought the end of the game had kinda undesirable writing. I don’t think some motivations made any sense. Other than these complaints, I found the platforming and combat to be very fun. The story was above average, but not amazing. I look forward to the sequel to see where Cal’s story goes from here

Game itself is very good, story is satisfying, mechanics are nice. Should be 75% at least. But, there is a big but.First and most problematic but is the game is crashing a lot, especially when RT is enabled with epic settings - inside places with multiple reflections like Nova Garon game crashes after few minutes, only way is to disable RT and lower settings.
Second but is key bindings, game is designed for pad and some elements are barely usable with mouse and keyboard (especially map - worst map i have ever seen). I changed key bindings to more useful, but some things like map are annoying.
Thus, 75% - 25% from bugs and bad design gives 50%, which i think, is fair.

Such great star wars! Music was incredible. Graphics of just the light sabers was awesome. First level is hooks you, first third is meh, then the last half really picks up and had me wanting to keep playing. Saw the story betrayal coming. Vader wasn't as cool as last game but still sick. Nice game with a lot of potential. Only enjoyable in Performance Mode, in "Look-Nice-Mode" awful textures and slow loading of textures, even after > 1 yr of release. Horrible update practice.Story was ok.
Best things were the complex word building und riddles hidden everywhere.
Some crossing mechanics really need a good timing and perfect "button pressing".

If it wasnt for the horrid optimization, this game would be a 9/10 for me. The vistas were amazing, the characters and voice acting were awesome, the story was compelling, but when you crash on boot up 5 times, horrid bugs and customization physics, it's a dull experience. The combat was pretty good, but I would have liked to see more benefit from breaking posture on enemies. Exploration was ok, but I was kind of annoying that the majority of the exploration was hidden behind skills you only finish getting by the end of the story. All in all its a good game held back by a lack of devotion to optimization.Updated 4 Weeks Ago

D I S A P P O I N T I N G.Took so danged long to beat, and I think my main reason the disappointment is threatening to overtake the real enjoyment I had, is this game suffers heavily from Ubisoft-style open world bloat. There's *so much* to do in the world to keep you playing far longer than you want to, so many danged icons on the map you need to go to, so many side quests that go nowhere and feel randomly generated. So. Much. Backtracking.
I legitimately hated the amount of backtracking in this game.
I love Star Wars. I love the world. I love the gameplay. The story is enjoyable (but also kinda...truncated -- I wish there was more story and less icons on the map, tbh). The *new* content such as new fighting styles expand on the original game while improving the gameplay heavily. This is overall a great follow-up to Fallen Order and I can't wait for the inevitable sequel (because, unfortunately, this ends on a bit of a cliffhanger). I'm also so relieved I can now uninstall this monstrosity.
Other things I hated:
* The bugs. The PC version still sucks. It's bad. And they will never fix it.
* The title. Why is it this way? "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor," what? The original should have just been Star Wars: Fallen Order and this should have just been Star Wars: Jedi Survivor (or similar). Why did they make it so weird? You can't just delete the colon after Star Wars!!!! *tears hair out*
* The few planets. That map looks gargantuan, and you can semi-interact with most of it, but it's...empty even at the end-game. You'll spend 80% of the game on Koboh, 15% on Jedha, and the other 5% spread between the other small locations. It just feels unfinished. (This is really just another way to sneakily complain about backtracking.)
* Star Wars loves a redemption arc, and this one...doesn't get one despite setting one up 500 different ways. It's kind of refreshing, but also...the narrative was missing something to make it believable. (Probably because we were spending so many hours running back and forth.)
* Did I mention the backtracking?
I swear I actually liked this game, but the hours wore me down.

It is a game between an action-rpg and a souls-like with a dominant linear-story aspect. The visuals and amount of content make up for any generic gameplay. The character build variety, collectibles, puzzle rooms etc. gives you a handful of things to do. However, it is not a masterpiece. Sword gameplay is still more fun in Ghost of Tsushima. Building variety feels illogical when you have a game with a clear story aspect. Star Wars characters feel far more cartoony than my preferences (But it certainly is far better than Horizon II). I liked the first game more, although more linear, it had a more concise story and progression; everything just made sense. In this one, I had no idea what I was supposed to do nor what the main story was by the end of the fourth hour. It is bigger and has more variety, but it feels complicated.Updated 1 Month Ago

Very good game that builds on the first games mechanics. Great graphics, gameplay and characters. There are some undeveloped story bits as well as characters, some forced stuff that I think they could've done better on but overall it's a very enjoyable experience. My one complaint is this heavily uses the metroidvania theme and yet the map system is trash. Even with all upgrades not all collectibles show up and you can't get an overall view of collectibles, just regional. This is a sin to the very style of this type of game.Updated 1 Month Ago

Right away: without all the technical issues this game would be an 80. I had several crashes, had to drastically reduce the quality settings to get through a cutscene, the stuttering is awful etc.About the game itself: Interesting story, okay characters, partially great looking worlds, game design overall okay as well. What kills a lot of the fun sometimes (besides the above mentioned issues) is all the open-world stuff, too much things and more quantity than quality. Instead of having so many uninteresting characters, fewer but more interesting ones would have been better. More time for Kal and his true friends... so yeah, the grandness this game wants to achieve stands in the way of it being great.

Phenomenal game, expands on Fallen Order in every way. The backtracking can get a little tedious, and there is a ton of random side stuff to do, again mostly for cosmetics. But slight annoyances do not detract from an epic adventure. Jaw-dropping set pieces, intense light saber battles, fun and varied combat, a great story with memorable characters. ending was kind of weird lol thought the game was over 3 or 4 different times.Kind of feel like bode turning evil almost could’ve been a dlc, I enjoyed the ending butttttt it almost felt like they got to a point where they were like “what do we do now” and threw us Vader🤌 and then changed the story to focus on bode. Did seem weird he kept conveniently being the only npc who survived everything.
But the game was pretty fun, loved going around look for stuff and solving puzzles. Kind of sucked we were stuck on 2 planets besides a few small areas on other planets. Loveddddddd being able to fight vader again even if it was the most obvious fan service ever made lol

This game has extremely improved compared with Jedi: Fallen Order which was 7,5/10.First of all, the movement is much better, faster, the arcade elements are more enjoyable, especially the use of ropes or flying creatures to glide - in general I recommend playing on a pad, much better than on a keyboard and mouse.
The game can be very mysterious and unpredictable when it comes to exploring the world and new character mechanics. I don't mind the fact that the planets are still enclosed smaller locations to explore and you have to return often to certain locations after unlocking a particular skill, although the open one big world could be even more interesting (I'm eagerly waiting for star wars outlaws, let's hope it doesn't turn out to be a flop), but it's worth mentioning that there is always something to do on Koboh - gardening, the holotactics mini-game or assassination orders, it all nicely comes together as one cohesive whole.
The plot is much more interesting than in the first part, you can feel more maturity of the protagonist, the characters met on the road have some purpose and depth, the dialogues are not so stiff, although it is not on the level of the Witcher. I'm very glad that the game is not turbo family friendly, although it could have been a bit more dark and twisted. The downside is the relentless behavior of a certain character, it is incomprehensible and meaningless to me. In terms of side missions, it's worth doing them - exploring and pursuing rumors, both in terms of character development and simply unlocking new game features - collecting companions for the saloon really makes sense. Character customization is on a much higher level compared to the first part, it's nice to do everything under a certain color scheme, including several different colors of lightsaber (while having different sound effects in combat!) The 3d minimap didn't necessarily suit me like before, but at least it's a bit clearer.
As for the combat - it's incredibly better, the animations are clean, you can feel the satisfaction using different stances and the enemies are diversified. There are many more options for character development, approaches to combat (dual swords, blaster, two-handed sword etc.), and larger groups of enemies to fight at once. I'm very happy that you can finally slash elements of the environment like trees and bushes, as well as limbs of people and creatures, but it's a pity that only limbs - they could have cranked it up even more with, for example, brutal decapitation or cutting in half ( no matter how it sounds...), these animations do appear, but rarely and only for certain types of enemies. The difficulty level is lower than in the previous part, especially when it comes to bosses - realistically only two frogs gave me a longer problem, the rest were quite easy if you collected a lot of stims.
The graphics are on a high level, especially the details inside the buildings and the elaborate side characters. The lighting is also very well done, it all looks nice in the mines for example, and the reflections are great to see in the puddles with raytracing on. Levels are created interestingly, shortcuts cleverly thought out, and the puzzles in the first half of the game can be seen to be inspired from those used in GoW:Ragnarok in the Alfheim region, which is cool. The emotions on the characters' faces are average, a bit robotic looking. The music blends perfectly into the game world and is momentous or mysterious when it should be. The sounds are very polished - the sounds of lightsabers, movements across the sand, smashing stones with power, squeaks of small monsters - perfect.
The biggest problem of the game is, unfortunately optimization and this causes the lowering of my rating, which is a shame, because it was shaping up to be a top 10 game of mine ever, but I can't get over the technical problems without a notice. At least for today it's possible to play (supposedly after the premiere it was a tragedy), but you can feel some kind of micro lag despite the powerful hardware, animations are a bit buggy, strange flickering of lights happens, and at alttab there are image stuttering- admittedly it doesn't interfere very much with playing, but it certainly knocks out of the immersion. The game can often randomly crash as soon as you minimize it for a while, even to take a screenshot, it can severely mess up the gameplay and take you back to the previous meditation point - and the game has no autosave which is ridiculous! It even managed to crash several times during one of the last missions when more units appeared. Gameplay-wise, the only thing I missed was the possibility to fly in space with ship.
Despite the technical problems, considering all other issues, this is a fantastic game and deserves a particularly high rating, I heartily recommend it to everyone, and for star wars fans it is a must play.
Very highly recommended, may the force be with you.

Great world and characters but overall feels like step in wrong direction for the series. Story was less interesting, combat at the beginning felt mush better but at some point became a little bit annoying. Blaster stance was a little bit disappointing. For me only thing that got improved compared to FO was level design (but I would still removed the open world parts). A lot of side content was better than main path. I delayed playing this game for almost a year due to numerous stories of glitches on PC. Unfortunately, even after all this time, the game remains in a horrendous technical state. I lost count of how many times I had to replay large sections of the game because it kept freezing, glitching, and displaying "out of video memory" errors. This is arguably the BUGGIEST game of the decade!Despite these issues, the story was engaging and the game showed significant improvements since Fallen Order. It's not a masterpiece, but it’s solid from a narrative perspective. Except for the mandatory "embracing the dark side" at the end, which kills your progress if you don't do it. "Genius" gameplay idea!
Regarding gameplay, it felt uneven at times. The 'platforming' sections were relatively easy and the puzzles were interesting to solve. However, the combat was inconsistent and could have used more polishing. Of course, given the game's numerous technical problems it feels silly to complain about this..
My advice: only get this game on PC if you have the patience to deal with the bugs and can tolerate frequent game freezes.

Jedi Survivor feels so much like Jedi Fallen Order (In a good way) that I had to read my old review to remember what plagued the first game of the series. And by that it helped me remember, many mechanical and gameplay issues were surely fixed, now there is fast travel, can't even imagine how painful it'd be to backtrack the new and bigger maps on the sequel, the platforming is WAY better, and the level design improved quite a bit, making traversing through areas way more comprehensible.
I'm not sure how much I enjoy the metroid style of not giving all powers at first in an open world 3d game, but it definitely makes sense in this saga, as you are evolving with the character.
My first gameplay wise complaint, is that they transformed the game in a collectible fest, even playing looking for collectibles and getting everything I could and going out of my way for many, I was still missing hundreds of them, atleast they all have some purpose, but not at all impactful enough.
The universe and the world you play in expanded, there is a LOT more characters and way more side lore, but at what point is it too much? There are almost 20 side characters all blobed into the same space, that simply spit their stories to you and pray that you remember them. The only ones that actually "matter" to you are the ones intertwined with the Main Story and Skoova, because he has a gameplay purpose that is really fun (And Still too much).
Lastly it feels that the narrative and the story have a hard time to pick up from where it left, after 5 years since Fallen Order, there are way too many new information that has to be reestabilished, and the story only starts to pick up pace and quality once it progresses closer to the end, but that is what hurts from being an original story, since they don't overwrite anything, it can be sometimes hard to estabilish a "New world inside a world"
But still, they excel in every aspect when you think of world building, story managment, even more when tying in aspects from Star Wars, you ARE in the universe, there is nothing that breaks your immersion, it is quite fantastic, traversing the galaxy, exploring the planets, discovering new species of "people" and animals, that is what I love most on the Star Wars Jedi series and I hope they keep striking gold with it.
I loved the main characters development, Cal Kestis once more is an incredible character, and the journey is beautiful, but the start missed a bit of sauce, maybe I feel like they tried to stretch it too much and lost a bit of quality, but still an incredible game, and keeps up with its predecessor.
A 9/10.

This game is still not very well optimized as even with a 6800XT I had some rough patches. Specifically, the first main planet you go to seems to have a lot of performance issues in its open world sections(50-60 fps), while the rest of the game was very smooth for me (above 60 fps). High to Ultra without RT. And the game looks gorgeous at those settings. I also had 3-4 crashes throughout my 25 hours, a couple of which were very inconvenient and caused me to have to redo some things.Performance aside, this game is fantastic.
If you have played Fallen Order, you should know what to expect for gameplay. If not, I like to describe it as Elden Ring meets Uncharted, or open world-ish souls-like combat with lots of platforming and traversal.
To me, this game series is undoubtedly the best ongoing Star Wars narrative, aside from maybe Andor. But if you come to Star Wars for the lightsabers and Jedi, this is it. It is mature and impactful in its storytelling. I cannot wait for a third entry.
Another positive note, there are a lot of cool fighting styles (stances) that you can spec out, equipping two at a time. I found myself geeking out every time I unlocked a new one. There are the ones from Fallen Order of course, but my personal favorite new one was, The game uses these different stances to switch up your gameplay in a interesting ways, and you are only ever required to use one right when you acquire it for tutorial purposes. For the rest of the game, you are free to use whichever stances you prefer.
