Really interesting concept - an RPG/adventure game hybrid. However, the adventure game part is what weighs it down. There's a specific sequence in the end game that requires a ridiculous series of events with perfect timing. Also, the EGA version, while having a superior conversation system, is hampered by one of the worst combat systems. Play the VGA remake if you really want to give this game a try.

This is an interesting hybrid between a point&click and RPG, however the RPG elements ultimately are an annoyance rather than an improvement. The adventure parts of the game don't seem too obnoxious compared to the puzzles of the era in other games, but the battle system is quite obtuse and just not fun to play, often getting in the way. The world isn't too big, but is fairly well populated with interesting sights. Overall, a decent game, but not something I'd ever want to come back to. (I played the VGA version).

Really dumb deaths that you can't avoid until after you experienced them. Makes needing to save a constant.

Really enjoyed this game. Though there are a few tricky places were saving frequently could save you quite a bit of redo time if you hadn't saved recently.
