I played this one co-op and it was pretty fun. It reminds me a lot of Contra, though there are obvious and significant differences. It's just a fun game that people can have a really good time with. Co-op is very fun, and there's an element of puzzle-solving that's pretty neat in an action-oriented game like this one.

Fun but I could only take so much punishment before I’d have to turn it off and come back to it a different day- that is until I played it couch co-op style and that was a far better experience. That last level was quite long though, and I was very afraid if we stopped I would lose my progress and have to start the whole level back over. Best part of the game by far was the surprise of what Bro you were unlocking… few moments in gaming feel that good :)

Na minha opinião, o jogo é simplesmente ótimo e possui características fáceis de se gostar. Por exemplo, é um plataforma shooter com vários personagens marcantes, desde John Rambo até personagens das sagas Alien e Predador. Além disso, o jogo tem controles simples de jogar e, como bônus, [SPOILER][/SPOILER]o vilão final é o próprio Satanás (John Rambo vs. Satanás, quem vence? kkk).
A questão dos gráficos é subjetiva, mas eu particularmente gosto de gráficos pixelados bem feitos, e este jogo entrega isso. O efeito sonoro é demais; quando você libera um personagem novo, há um solo de guitarra maravilhoso com um locutor incrível ao fundo, o que me faz querer jogar cada vez mais. A jogabilidade é simples: atirar para matar. No entanto, os inimigos são fáceis de se adaptar para derrotar.
A história é simples, porém marcante. Enfrentamos criminosos, alienígenas e demônios. O jogo é muito divertido, simples, porém ótimo.

A destruição total do cenário também só reforça o sentimento de querer atirar em tudo sem porquês. As fases mais calmas são um adicional muito bom, além da atualização Forever completar ainda mais o jogo.

Broforce is the kind of glorifyingly violent, gorey, and hyper-masculine experience that my teenage self would've been into in 2008 when Tropic Thunder came out. Sadly, it's been over 15 years since, and I've learned about the military-industrial complex and neo-colonialism. Thus, I felt an air of discomfort throughout my playtime. While the pixel art is fun and the mechanic of needing to play a random character from the library is innovative, what's happening in the narrative is a parody of American foreign policy yet mostly commenting on the awesomeness of militarization and violence. Would've been better if I weren't so exposed to the horrors of reality.

If you're a fan of old school action movies with Schwarzenegger & Stallone you would love this game. It has iconic characters who are easily recognizable (like Brominator or Rambro). It also has an over the top plot and missions structure. I would say that it's too tough for 2 players. But when we played it in a group of 3-4 people - it was perfect. Broforce!

This is one of those games that get better the closer you get to the end. The two stand out mechanics of this games is the destructible levels and the bros system.

The destructible levels makes it fun to use explosives and let's you really stretch the bounds of the level design. This is great due to the freedom it gives you when tackling levels, but can make all the levels feel kind of samey. The bros mechanic kind of alleviates this problem. As you play and rescue bros (which also act as extra lives in a level), you start unlocking new bros. You also don't choose the bro you play, rather the game always sets them randomly for you respawn or rescue a bro. So the more you play, the more bros you save and the more variety you have playing and retrying levels, which is really fun. All bros are also pretty viable so you never really feel like your getting screwed over getting certain bros.

Due to the destructible level design dilemma, around the middle point the game started feeling a bit samey, but once the game introduces the aliens it gets a lot better because you get some more enemy variety. The final level set was amazing. You get multiple bosses which are the best part of the game, and at least for me I started playing the game in a more urgent, speedy fashion which felt really good. The final boss is really fun too. That whole last section really made me appreciate the game more and I wish felt that throughout the time I was playing.

I am a 90's kid, and spent my teenage watching actions on VHS (and playing NES and Sega MD). In other words, I am a perfect target audience of Broforce. The game hits nostalgia fans with tons of pop culture references, nice pixel graphics and a good portion of IRONia. Another benefit of the game is a total destructibility of literally anything on the screen. This provides a lot of fun and flexibility. Why fight 10 enemies on the bridge if you could stealthly dig a tunnel beneath it?
Broforce is a very inventive game, but at some late point you will feel slight repeatability, so I intended to mark it with 90% score. But lately developers released a massive FREE DLC, which delivers even more fun and destruction! I cannot resist to reward the game with a 100% rating.

Not too bad at the core, but a lot of the characters feel really weak and uneven. Each level can be pretty short if rushed, but the campaign just keeps going and going. It's honestly too long. The bosses and enemies change somewhat, but I felt the game dragging on especially in the last quarter.

Broforce is a consistently fun and funny 2D action platformer plastered with goofy pop culture references and stark satire of the United States military. A plot twist comes in the last act that is simply too absurd to not love. The game is very fun, the boss fights are engaging, and the gameplay is varied due to the vast array of playable characters. Overall a very solid time.

Broforce is an over the top side scrolling shoot em up which does not take itself at all seriously and joyfully takes pleasure it parodying old action movies. It is silly fun especially with others. It does have issues unfortunately with one hit kills and random selection of characters with some weaker then others.
