Do you like Sonic? I've been a fan since 2007. M&S at the Olympic Games seem to got me into that. Mario games were what a played a lot before.

You bet. Been playing since Sonic Heroes.
Ironically, it wasn't a game that got me into Sonic. It was the anime. Since then, I've bought a decent amount of Sonic games and merch.
He was pretty important to me during my childhood. Back then, I even asked my parents for a PS3 and a Wii because I really wanted the new Sonic games. Good times.

I don't really care for it and I'm not as passionately invested into the franchise as it's fans and haters are. I enjoy some of the games like Colors, Generations, Forces(yeah I sort of like this one), and Frontiers but I don't really have any positive or overly negative feelings on the series either. I don't really enjoy the classic games outside of maybe CD but that is because the game is over so quickly if you get the bad ending.

I enjoy games inspired by Sonic like Freedom Planet, Spark the Electric Jester 2 and Penny's Big Breakaway more than Sonic itself.

Will admit that I do have some experience with Sonic's multimedia efforts, I watched Sonic X before I even actively played more video games, and the live action Sonic movie is pretty decent stuff. The music is pretty good, I quite like some of the lyrical Sonic songs like, "Live and Learn", "Open your Heart", "All Hail Shadow", "I am all of me" among others and I don't even care for game music with lyrics.

I also find the Sonic series' story parallels to stuff like Dragon Ball to be pretty fascinating.

Honestly, from a distance, the only things about Sonic that can get me geniunely annoyed is the discourse regarding the series and how Sonic has been in his fair share of mediocre and bad games yet the series still continues.

Sonic is great. I just finished 100%ing Sonic Rivals 2 (aside from the mutliplayer cards) this evening so that should say enough. Been playing through every Sonic game now over the last while, making good progress. Sonic 1 was the first game I ever played back in the 90's. S3K is in my top 3 favourite games of all time. Whole series means a lot to me even all these years later. Also "Shadow the Hedgehog" is a great game is a hill I'm willing to die on, and "Sonic 06" is actually surprisingly decent despite it's jankiness (aside from the story). :)

Me and my homies fucking love Sonic the Hedgehog! I didn't plan on completing any Sonic games this year, but they're so short and easy to slide into my monthly completion goals. This month I've got Sonic 2, Adventure, and Secret Rings. I'm almost through with Sonic's story in Adventure and I just beat Secret Rings so 2 is next. Adventure is the most fun 3d Sonic gets and what I just beat has gotta be the most frustrating as it gets imo.

I finally bit the bullet and played through Sonic Generations a few years ago. I did not like it. I've heard there are good games and bad games in the series and Generations was supposed to be one of the good ones. I guess the series just isn't for me. The movie was OK though.

My only experience with the games was playing the Sonic Heroes demo on the McDonald's Gamecube kiosks years ago and beating Secret Rings. The later of which was absolutely awful.

I think Sonic as a character is cool. But with hearing how many bad/mediocre games there are in the series and also having negative exposure during my early teenage years with the fandom in the Sonic Boom era, I've largely steered clear of really delving into the franchise.

I never liked it... I was supposed to have a lot of nostalgia for it, since my first console was a Master System, I only owned a Nintendo a generation later with SNES. I hate the sensation of platforming really fast, with almost no room for having a reaction. With the exception of games that does time trials really well, I generally do not like to memorize a stage, I prefer to react to it as I go.

But I absolutely love Sonic Frontiers, that one is good.

Yes I'm a Sonic the Hedgehog fan since the 90s.

First time playing the original Genesis game at my neighbors house since I owned a NES and SNES at home. But It wasn't until I owned Sega Saturn in '96 I completed my first Sonic game Sonic R!. My favorite is Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast. Despite having a rocky legacy I enjoy most games & spin-offs including Jam, Shuffle, CD, Fighters, Battle, Rivals, Generations, Heroes, Racing. I'm currently in the process in finishing the classic series on GEN,SCD,32X,SMS,GG.
