This is up there with the best of the genre/series. I woke up early every morning on the weekends, for months, to get those hours in before the fam got up so I could shred in peace. Great memories, great game.Updated 1.5 Weeks Ago

Classic and simple guitar hero experience. The campaign is a nice change of pace that has quite a punch of difficulty.Updated 6.5 Months Ago

Song selection is dope, gameplay is smoother than all the other guitar heroes I have played, and is really challenging. Literally 9/10 because playing on an HD TV without the proper cords is ass and the guitar can be not great.Updated 9 Months Ago

Dragonforce Through the Fire and FlamesUpdated 1 Year Ago

7.5/10would be a little better than previous games if it wasn't for the lack of options for controller and keyboard/mouse(i mean the strum)

best guitar hero easily. the songlist is great, the gameplay is the most refined its been, the story is actually kinda cool with the game ending in a genuinely awesome climax guitar battle. Good shit all around. Whenever I pop this game back in, I find it extremely hard to stop playing because the setlist is just that strong and also im kind of biased.Updated 2 Years Ago

I’ve played the absolute shit outta this game. I remember begging my parents for Guitar Hero back when that’s all the neighborhood kids wanted to do. There’s not a ton to say here; y’all know the drill. This game slaps. It’s extremely fun, there is a fantastic selection of songs that still doesn’t get old, and the game doesn’t take itself seriously at all. It’s super goofy. And that’s exactly how it should be. Amazing game to play with amazing people. Doesn’t get a 10 because I think there could be more songs. Besides that, I think this is an excellent rhythm game.Updated 3 Years Ago

Guitar Hero III is another great entry in the Guitar Hero series. You will like it as much as you like the playlist which has quite a few legendary Rock tunes and some, kind of weird entries. The guitar battles make the game different and are kind of unnecessary if you ask me but if you enjoy them that's cool. The end game is pretty challenging which makes the game a lot of fun. We enjoyed playing through this and unlocking all the songs.Updated 4 Years Ago

This fucking setlist oh my GOD. Nearly every single song in this game is banger. Nearly every single one. That's absolutely nuts. It's kinda cheating, but if you talk about best video game soundtrack, better chuck this game's hat in the ring!Updated 4.5 Years Ago

Spent a stupid amount of time practicing songs and memorizing them so I wouldn't have to look at the screen, played a bunch with friends and family, overall, I'm somewhat of a rockstar myself.Updated 5.5 Years Ago

Pretty fun. The story was weird and the animations don't hold up. Unlocking some of the songs that are only in the two player sucks.Updated 7 Years Ago

It was fun back in the day, but in hindsight it's just a glorified rhythm game that adds nothing worthwhile to the genre. What it DOES add detracts from the experience.Updated 11 Years Ago

Amazing battle system, incredible songs and everything! Loved it! Home to the famous TTFAF (Through the Fire and Flames) and battles with Slash and Tom Morello (Guns N' Roses/Rage Against the Machine, respectively)! I consider it the best of all GH games, with the obvious exception of GH: Metallica :)Updated 12 Years Ago

Guitar Hero 3 is a safe first entry into the franchise by Neversoft. The studio didn't rock the boat too much and stuck with the tried and true formula of previous Guitar Hero games in most situations. The soundtrack is fantastic and the new online additions are going to take the Guitar Hero community to the next level. It really is hard to argue with any facet of the gameplay. Everything outside of the game itself, though, is in need of an overhaul as the presentation is growing a bit stale. It's hard to ask that of a developer's first foray into an established franchise, but it's equally hard to look at the game and not see room for improvement.Neversoft got it right where it counts, though, and the third entry into the Guitar Hero franchise is just as fun as ever.
