Hey everyone! I created a team for HLTB on WhatPulse - it's a website that tracks the amount of keypresses you made that has become very popular recently. I've known about it for a few years and participated on another team for some months. It's extremely fun! Just use your computer normally and set it to pulse every 24 hours, or every 25k keypresses, or whatever! And yes, it is safe.

You can even check your key map, which is an optional feature. It tracks WHICH keys you pressed and makes a colored map for you - my map on my older account had WASD as the brightest colors. Why would that be? :P Let's unite to make a strong team, it also helps build up a tight community on here. Something to talk about is always great!! :D

Here's the link of the team: https://whatpulse.org/stats/teams/20509/

Oooo, that's very interesting. I'll have to sign up... tell me, if you use multiple computers, can you log on to your account and track keystrokes there, or it is only one account per computer? I mainly need to know if I have to be on my main computer when I sign up or not. :)

You can use a single account on multiple computers! That's part of the beauty of it - you can use it both at work and at home, and more! :)

I was joining but they never sent the confirmation email, I'll just have to wait 21 hours.. or days for the registration to be erased, or wait until that email comes in. Its been a few hours.

Giving this a download! I am sometimes curious about how much I'm typing day in and day out so this will help with that :). Is it possible to join multiple teams at once? In the personal homepage thing it does say "Teams" plural, but I can only find the button to leave a team (and I'm not planning on that!).

I never had to do a confirmation email. I made my account through the program itself and then logged on to the site. If it said it sent you one, you can try checking the spam folder.

Nice to see people got excited with this. :)
This (https://whatpulse.org/stats/teams/12986/) is the team I used to make part of, it's now ranked 7th overall! It started out low like us, so let's try to climb our way up as our community grows!

Oh, cool! All signed up... though it's doubtful I'll help much! I don't do too much typing or PC gaming, really. :p

Just made my first bulky pulse (I set it to 24 hours). Never thought I'd make 46k keypresses in a single day!

So, I'm wondering... will the application auto-pulse at some point? I forgot to pulse on the laptop before shutting it off, and then with some technical problems on my end, I can't get to the darn application again without closing and re-opening, which I assume will lose progress. It's not a big deal, but it would be good to know for the future anyway, if you know. :3

You can set a fixed amount of Time/Keypresses/Clicks on the Preferences menu! :)

Hmm, alrighty then. I'll probably mess with that a little later. Thanks!

Yeah, I set mine to pulse every 1000 keys and it seems to work well that way. If I were meant to click the icon every time I wanted to pulse then I would never remember either, lol. So far it works well and pops up a little bubble when I pass that amount (although you can turn off the bubble too if you don't want it).

You do not lose progress from turning it off or restarting your computer.

I got in and joined. I have a feeling my W, A, S, and D keys will be the most frequently pressed.

Well, you're ahead of him right now. ;3

It's just that I spend all of my time on the PC (besides sleeping). I'm usually writing walls of text on the internet or playing games, all while listening to wonderful music (IMO)~ :)
Good luck on beating pongsifu!

I had been playing a slow paced strategy game that didn't require much keyboard input for the past week, which is why I have a lot of clicks but not much in keys. I'm done with that game now, so my keys should go up soon.

Although I play a lot on PC, I tend to do so with a controller (shock! horror!) so that probably won't help much with keyboard. However, if I ever decide to get back into Stepmania that will be WILD :P.

As it stands, my main job is writing daily, so you're doing pretty well to stay toe to toe Wolfgang! I wonder who else from HLTB will show up and be a keyboard megauser.

Not that shocked, I use a Xbox 360 controller whenever a compatible game comes around, otherwise I use basic Keyboard and mouse.

I tend not to type much, I usually minimize typing by using my mouse whenever I can... Except typing, I don't want to use a virtual keyboard, that'll take way too long.

I use a controller for most platformers on PC. Aside from a few games like Trine, or games that aren't really meant to have precision (Limbo, Braid), a controller is waaay better.

Maybe racing games too, but I just use the keyboard anyway.

Other than that...Mouse/Keyboard by far.

I'm going off topic, but, do you write for a website, or for a publication? Do you have any links you can share? I love reading other's writing. :D
