I've been a couple of months without replying this kind of threads, just because I forgot... But I'm back, to speak about a great game I've beaten this month!
- Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown - Series X - 17/08 - 23:20 h
- Mafia: Definitive Edition - Series X - 17/08 - 9:05 h
Prince of Persia was something special for me. I love metroidvanias, and this one is great! I loved it so much. It's one of the video games that I've enjoyed most of last years.
I also liked Mafia: it's the first one that I've finished of this saga. Some years ago, I tried twice to play the 3rd one, but I didn't like it and I retired both. But I enjoyed this one, maybe because it's more lineal and I don't have the same time to play video games as I used to.

I love playing in my old consoles. Right now I'm playing with my 2DS (both games I already have and games I buy). I don't mind not to play on the latest console. For example, when I finished Red Dead 2 on PS4, I just wanted to play the first one, so I looked for my old PS3 and just play it.
It's also very nostalgic when I play the games of my childhood in their original console, such as Pokémon Emerald on my red GBA SP or the original God of War on PS3. I have also re-played the Nintendo DS Animal Crossing despite having the Switch one.

Hi! I've just checked my 10/10 games and I've just noticed that I easily give games that rating. I tend to rate them just when I've finished them, and I think I'm not very objective doing so. For example, I rated with 10 Nioh because I loved it, but it's true that if I compare it with other 10/10 games, it's not so perfect.
What I like to do is to give 10/10 to games that I've played a lot without getting bored or have been special for me, such as F1 2014. I know that it's not the best game, but it's true that it was the only game that I played for a loooooong time that year and I had a great time.
So I think that I have to think a bit more my ratings, to avoid examples like Nioh or Hexcells Infinite; but I'll keep rating so well games like F1 2014 that, although they are not great, have given me a wonderful time.

I'm surprised by the amount of games I've completed this month. This is because I finished some games that I'd been playing since previous months, and because the ones that I've played this month were shorter that the ones I use to play.
- Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team [Replay] - Nintendo DS - 15/05 - 26:33 h
- Football Manager 2024 [Replay] - PC - 15/05 - 106:42 h
- Far Cry 3 - PC - 18/05 - 19:12 h
- Bakugan Battle Brawlers [Replay] - Nintendo DS - 20/05 - 6:58 h
- Senua's Saga: Hellblade II - Series X - 28/05 - 7:20 h
- Mario Kart DS - Nintendo DS - 29/05 - 7:43 h
My favorite game was Hellblade II. I enjoyed much the first one (I love medieval-viking story and I'm pretty interested in psychological aspects) and I think this one is better. It's perfect for people who want to play a game with a deeper story or for those who don't prioritize gameplay.
About Far Cry 3, I liked, but I think I would have LOVED it if I'd played it like 10 years ago. Right now, I'm a bit tired of Ubisoft-style games, and the story is the one you enjoy A LOT if you are a teenager.
Finally, as you can see, I'm using my old Nintendo 2DS, so I think the next month I will have completed a couple of extra DS games.

A couple of games beaten in April.
- The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ - Switch - 14/04 - 124:30 h
- Imperium Civitas - PC - 28/04 - 13:15 h
My favorite game, of course, was The Binding of Isaac, which I stopped playing it to start the Repentance version soon.
I love Imperium Civitas II and I saw the first game in a CeX, so I bought it and enjoyed.

Just one game in March as well as in February:
- Doki Doki Literature Club! - PC - 19/03 - 4:50 h
I don't really know what to say about it. I liked it, although I don't usually play visual novels. It's better to play it without knowing much about it.
The reason for having completed just one game (besides work) it's that I've been playing longer games, such as Persona 3 Reload or FM24, and specially The Binding of Isaac again...

Just one game in February:
- Quake - SeriesX - 09/02 - 6:45 h
Nice retro game. I saw it in Game Pass and I remembered when I played the classic Doom as one of my first games ever.
I've been playing some long games meanwhile, like Persona 3 Reload (Series X), Against the Storm (PC) or FM24 (PC), which I expect to finish this month (specially Persona).

After a couple of moths without posting in these threads (not many completions still), 2024 has had a good start:
- Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator [Replay] [100%] - PC - 16/01 - 19:12 h
- LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 [100%] - Switch - 17/01 - 26:30 h
- Assassin's Creed Origins - SeriesX - 24/01 - 27:40 h
- Football Manager 2024 - PC - 28/01 - 179:42 h
Two 100% completions, which I'm not used to. I don't think I will complete much more games like this.
My favorite game was Assassin's Creed Origins. It was the third time I started it since I first got it, but this time I focused on the main story and did just some side content, like missions that I found more interesting and exploring places like the pyramids. It's much better like this (the past gameplays were longer and I didn't reach the middle of the game...).

A couple of great games and a couple of FM23 runs, including my longest FM save ever.
- Football Manager 2023 - PC - 08/10 - 142:30 h
- Syberia: The World Before - PC - 20/10 - 13:07 h
- Cocoon - SeriesX - 21/10 - 3:31 h
- Football Manager 2023 - PC - 24/10 - 14:00 h
My favorite game was Syberia: The World Before. I enjoyed much the first two games of the saga, but the 3rd one was MUCH worse... This one was great for me. Nice story, graphics and music but easy puzzles.
I also have to say that I loved Cocoon, even when I don't usually play that kind of games.

Only one game completed in September, but was great:
- Sea of Stars - Series X - 19/09 - 32:23 h
I REALLY enjoyed it, since I'm pretty fan of traditional JRPGs such as Dragon Quest. I liked the story, the graphics and the improvements in gameplay. 100% recommended.

I NEVER FINISHED SKYRIM AND ITS BEEN 12 YEARS

I "finished" Skyrim a couple of months ago. Since I discovered it lots of years ago, I had started it several times and in several platforms/versions. But I never finished it.
When the anniversary edition came out, I promised myself that I was going to finish it. I was enjoying it slowly, completing MANY quests, upgrading skills, exploring... But when I had played it for 140 hours, I was distracted by another game (I don't remember which).
I left it for more than 8 months, but I came back this summer to finish just main story, because I needed to say "I've finished Skyrim". It took my just 5 extra hours.
For me, this game is difficult to rate, because I enjoyed A LOT that 140 hours of getting lost in its world, but the last 5 hours of just completing it were just meh...
My advice would be to go through the main story but taking breaks to make some side quest that sound more interesting for you. That's the only way to enjoy Skyrim while finishing it in less than 50 hours. When you finish the main story, you can then keep completing the rest of the quests since you get bored.

You have completed great games this year! I've also played Hogwarts, GoW and Jedi Survivor.
From your backlog, I've completed FF VII Remake, I liked it very much (forgive me, I haven't finished the original one yet).
I started to work some months ago, so I've started to understand what is having fewer gaming time... Cannot imagine with kids.
What about playing shorter games? Now I TRY playing <30 hours games (I keep doing extra things), but my "favourite" length to choose is 10-15 hours.

August has been a great gaming month, in which I have exploited my holidays.
- Stacklands - PC - 09/08 - 16:30 h
- Celeste - Series X - 13/08 - 6:06 h
- Titan Quest: Anniversary Edition - PC - 14/08 - 40:18 h
- A Short Hike - Series X - 14/08 - 1:20 h
- Blasphemous II - PC - 30/08 - 18:30 h
My favourite game has definitely been Blasphemous II. I enjoyed a lot the first game and I think this is better. And as a Spaniard, I love the idea of creating games related to Spanish mythology.
I have to mention that Stacklands really obsessed me. It's an interesting game shorter what I had to spend, but I was defeated near to de final and had to restart. I got all Steam achievements.

Hello there!
I've just bought my first deluxe/special/whatever edition of a game. I've always wanted to have many of them, but I didn't have enough money to spend.
Some days ago, I received an email in which I read that Game was releasing a Deluxe Edition of Loop Hero, one of my favourite recent games (100% on Steam). As I started to work a couple of months ago, I decided to pamper myself. I've just got it and I'm pretty happy, although it's only in English (I'm Spanish). It contains the game, a bestiary and the soundtrack, which I loved.
What do you think about this kind of versions? Do you like them? Have you bought any? I'd like to know your opinion and the ones you have!

As mockturtle just has one retirement and I haven't played it, I'll take one of yours.
As I'm a great Dragon Quest fan, DRAGON WARRIOR III? It hurts... For me, it's the best of the first trilogy. It's true that the NES version could be too old, but I played the Switch version a couple of years ago and had fun.
I'm pretty sure that the next Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake will be great, so give it an opportunity when it comes out!

Only a couple of games this month:
- Dark Souls: Remastered - PC - 16/07 - 25:26 h
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Anniversary Edition - PC - 19/07 - 145:00 h
Firstly, I have to mention that I only played like 4 hours of Skyrim this month. I had started it long ago, doing MANY sides, but I left it in stand-by to play other games. In these 4 hours, I just rushed main story to can tell "I've finished Skyrim".
I enjoyed Dark Souls a lot. It's my second soulslike (after Bloodborne last year) and I've already bought the second one to try to start it next month.
Since I had much more fun exploring Skyrim slowly than rushing the main story, I have to say that my favourite game of the month is Dark Souls: Remastered. If I valued the hole games, I would probably choose Skyrim.

June has been my first month working, so I hadn't as much time for gaming as I used to. However, I managed to finish a couple of games:
- Etrian Odyssey HD - PC - 21/06 - 38:19 h
- Slay the Spire - Switch - 22/06 - 28:44 h
My favourite one was Slay the Spire. I enjoy roguelikes a lot and this one was great. I stopped because I want to try more games, but this could have easily been one of that a 100h games.
Etrian Odyssey was one of my childhood's game. I started it several times on Nintendo DS, but I found it difficult (I was pretty bad at gaming jajaja). It was great to start it again and finish it in the end.

If you are new and you have an old pc, I'd recommend Portals or Half Life. I'd also say the first 3 Monkey Island, which are some of the best graphic adventures ever (from my point of view).
+1 to Stardew Valley. A chill farm game in which you can do MANY things.
The best aspect of being new in this world is that you can pick almost any game you think that looks interesting and just try it. If you buy on Instant Gaming, you can save a lot of money.
But above all, enjoy gaming!

+1 to Dungeon Keeper and Custom Robo.
I'd say Star Wars KOTOR. It would be great to have a third one with an up-to-date combat.
Also, I'd love a new God of War, BUT with the old hack and slash gameplay.

May has been the month when I've completed some games that I have started or stopped some months ago:
- Pokémon Violet - Switch - 01/05 - 43:11 h
- Pokémon Iberia - PC - 10/05 - 54:09 h
- GRIS - Switch - 19/05 - 2:55 h
- Star Wars Jedi: Survivor - SeriesX - 25/05 - 32:24 h
- Hogwarts Legacy - SeriesX - 28/05 - 43:36 h
My favourite game was Jedi: Survivor. I loved the first game and I think this is more and better. GRIS was also a really beautiful experience.
I finished Pokémon Iberia, which I was uploading to YouTube since November. Hogwarts Legacy and Pokémon Violet were stopped since March and December, respectively.

I think social media are a powerful tool but also really dangerous. People usually think that they can do whatever they want without consequences...
In this web I feel more comfortable too, but in other platforms, I just interact with people I know.
For example, on Twitter I only follow streamers/news and twit for some giveaways.

I'm halfway through the third Mistborn book. I'm probably enjoying reading for the first time in my life, these books are great. Loving the world and the characters building!
When I finish it, I'll read Elantris too.
