There is a world beyond ours. Beyond nations, justice, ethics. It never sleeps. It exists everywhere. And once you enter....there is no going back. Welcome to the World of Assassination. You are Agent 47, the world's ultimate assassin.
When focusing on the main objectives, Hitman is about 10½ Hours in length. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 91 Hours to obtain 100% completion.

I'm gonna do this one in Hitman 3 since Hitman (2016) is ironically the worst way to play those levels, plus I just beat Hitman (2016). Maybe I'll go in and beat the Sarajevo Six levels since those aren't in Hitman 3.

I've been looking for an excuse to go back and finish all the mission stories and challenges ... because they were fun on PC and I've been playing through all 3 games on PS4 recently =)
Also, would definitely recommend these new Hitman games for anyone who was into the OG series - they're new and different, but still a solid Hitman experience, especially if you turn off the assists and go hardcore hehe.

This game is incredible.
I've played all 3 and they get better every time.
The Trilogy is a great place to start because it has all the content with all the system enhancements over the years.
They also somehow craft a Hitman story that you care about.

Had my first play session:
Got to the final training session of the prologue
I'm surprised by the amount of ways they allow you to beat the level and the first level makes you first beat it in a planned route to the target but then drops you back in to do the level again but finding a different path to it (I dropped a raft on the target second time through). The game needs a lot of patience though which may put people off as you can't really go gun ho in this game and you need to be smart and precise in how you tackle a level. I will have to see how this all feels once I get out of the prologue though

I adore this trilogy. It's so much fun to just randomly replay the levels and finding out new stuff about the AI and all that. Or beating a mission that originally took you over 90 minutes in 20 or even 10. I've gotten a few Perfect Assasins on at least one level on each of the games of the trilogy, and there's still so so much content I haven't played. The Escalations can be fun and I've completed some, but after a while I just fell off of each of the games and it's really hard to get back on each of the games doing one of the special events, it's more fun to replay the missions.
The planned objectives you can do are a lot of fun, and doing some of those are as much fun as doing something improvised
I just have so many fond memories of playing these games with friends or by myself and they're just a lot of fun, and I can't wait for that James Bond game IO Interactive is making.
And it's a bit weird how we've still not gotten any new missions as DLC for Hitman 3, but they've been doing new Escalations and Elusive Targets, so I prefer that they don't crunch the employees even more, especially since most of this game was done in the middle of the pandemic.
But anyway, I love these games and they're so much fun!

Belated EoW update:
finished the prologue and on to paris. Ended up getting one of the officers to electrocute my target
I haven't had much time to play last week as I was at a wedding but I'm enjoying the open ended nature of the levels as well as the multiple opportunities to beat the levels. It seems to give you options of what opportunity to follow if you like but if I remember correctly that can be turned off you want a more open world take on the assassinations. I haven't found any issues yet but we will see the longer I play this game

Just started playing this last night and have only gotten through the prologue. I can tell I'm gonna get really obsessed with this game. I'm loving the open-ended nature of the levels. I spent way too long on that opening prologue level just messing around with the different things you can do. Still not super clear on how sightlines work, but starting to get a better hang of it. Excited to keep playing!

Eow update:
I'm currently in colorado and have killed 2 of the 4 targets. I killed the pirate during the training debrief using the ram and killed the hacker by pushing her into the sludge
So my opinion of the game is that it fantastic well built open ended assassination stealth game. Most levels have many opportunities to kill your target either directly or by "accident" and it sets up a lot of these opportunities for you while allowing for your own approaches if you want (it kind of hand holds you through the opportunities but these can be removed and are disabled during pro mode) to the point that game feels like a great puzzle game where you try and fit together the pieces of a puzzle to create the greatest opportune moment to take out your targets and it is really satisfying to get an unnoticed accidental kill.
Disguises are king in this game as they offer the biggest opportunities for your kills and offers the easiest way through areas which you previously couldn't access. The way that the AI interacts when in disguise is rather similar to the milkman conspiracy in Psychonauts when a large amount of the AI will look you disguise and boil you down to your occupation ("Hey there mr cameraman", "Look sharp there chef", etc, etc). It's rather amusing how everyone for the most part just goes along with your disguise without any issue. Still there is an edge to these disguises as they don't fool everyone as certain people will see through the disguise and be suspicious and so you have to keep sharp or you may be caught.
The game is not without it's faults the biggest one for me is that outside of disguises the stealth feels lacking and it the tools in your box are very little compared to the strong arsenal that disguises offer so if your aiming for the suit challenge it can be quite difficult as most other options are rather basic distraction and take down moves.
Combat is another issue as 47 has the agency of a sloth making him an easy target to deal with. It gets to point where it would be better just to reset if you are forced into combat. Luckily this is a stealth game and the game would prefer it that you don't go guns blazing and instead try to escape combat as much as possible.
The game seems short but looks like it's built to be infinitely repayable and so I'm going to mark down each of the ways I took at the targets in each level:
Prologue - First training
- Dropped a safety boat onto the targets head
Prologue - Final Training
-Got the target elecuted by another solider while he was fiddling with the wires of the projector
Paris
-Killed the woman by disguising as helmut meeting her for the mission then just choking her out and hiding her in the closet
-Went to the meeting as a bodyguard for the guy and then after the meeting pushed him into the seine
Italy
-Killed the guy as the therapist and then smothering after he admitted smothering his mum
-Killed the woman by giving her the hair back and elocuting her by damaging the plug extension and turning the hose on
Morocco
-Killed the general by throwing a que ball at his head and snapping his neck after he caught me trying to change into the prisoner
-Killed the banker by dropping the moose on him during the tv interview
India
-Killed the rocker by smothering him with his own cake
-Killed the lawyer by drowning him in the toilet during his inspection of the hotel room
Colorado
-Killed the pirate during the debriefing by smashing into the car with the ram
-Killed the hacker by pretending to be interpol then pushing her into the sludge pit

I didn't realise this was picked for the game of the month but it was the first completion of the month for me anyway. I'm usually not a big stealth fan and this is definitely a great starting point for someone like me who doesn't really enjoy the genre. I decided to complete all of the premade missions for each episode, except for the final episode as I was getting a little frustrated with that one. I played through the levels using the hitman trilogy on game pass, and I'm definitely looking forward to trying out the other two.

Welp I've completed the game. Overall really enjoyed this game was a great stealth game with some fun little assassination set ups which it can help you towards or allow you to muddle your own way towards the assassination targets. Although the issues I had with the game still exist but that really didn't hamper my enjoyment of the game.
Just a quick note if you got the game on PS+ then the patient zero DLC aren't included I'm gonna check the version on epic but I suspect the same.
Now for my final assassinations:
Colorado
-I killed the masked guy by overdosing his prisoner then when he is isolated in his shed bludged him with a hammer and snapped his neck
-I replaced the leaders watches battery with the explosive trap and sent a message to activate it. He ended up blowing himself up
Japan
-Killed the lawyer by feeding her poisoned fugo
-Destroy the traitors new heart in the morgue before the surgery takes place

Hitman (2016)
Completion February 17, 2022
Main+Extras 14h 01m 09s
Review
+Big open levels with multiple opportunities for assassinations
+A large variety in disguises which can used to circumvent areas at your own whim
+Game is built on re-playability and each levels offers multiple challenges built into each level
-Combat is rather weak but it is rather designed that way as stealth is the most optimal approach in these game
-Stealth is rather mediocre in comparison to it’s more in depth disguise mechanics
-Game is built for re-playability so it is relatively short in linear terms
Overview: Hitman(2016) is a fantastic assassin game where you are given an open ended level to hit multiple targets with any means possible. This done with a fantastically robust and in depth disguise system where certain disguises can get you into location but there are people who can see through your disguises so you need to always be on point even when going through the levels. The game can be as open ended as you want but it also offers help guiding you toward opportunities to get the targets alone for easier assassinations which a welcome offer to new players. With that said levels are highly replayable with multiple opportunities available to the player to get to there targets and multiple challenges to beat for each level. The game has a few problems though mainly that the combat isn’t grand but the game is built for stealth first but saying that I found the stealth outside of the disguises to be relatively mediocre and I’ve seen better stealth options outside this game. Still overall this game is something I recommend stealth game players and those who don’t normally play stealth games to at least try.
