So many of these are due to music licensing issues, and as a result most modern games don't use licensed music. And the music industry wonders why it's in trouble...

Astral Chain, Scarlet Nexus, Tokyo Xanadu Ex
More open world: Immortals Fenyx Rising, maybe Ghost of Tsushima?
Edit: After doing a little googling I see a lot of recommendations for Immortals Fenyx Rising if you liked Biomutant. And of course it's inspiration, Zelda Breath of the Wild.

I think the prompt for this one was "scary fire-breathing space dog"

Yeah I have Stable Diffusion installed on my machine now so I can generate local images.
This one was from Bing's chatbot. I had a dream about hiding from a man-eating bus. I asked it to create a scary, pink, fleshy man-eating bus and this is what it came up with. This is scarily accurate to my dream!

I'll recommend something off-the-wall that no one's heard of, but I enjoyed a lot. "Kaiju Big Battel: Fighto Fantasy" is very heavily inspired by Final Fantasy 6, but with weird mascot wrestling characters. It's not too long either, maybe 10 hours?
I also really liked "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth", despite knowing nothing about Digimon.

"Shorter games is a good thing" is a sentiment I've mainly only heard from game journalists and professional reviewers. I guess so their jobs are made easier.

I made a Metroidvania list a few months ago, 80% of which I've finished myself. I tried to make it comprehensive but there's so many little indy titles that I'm sure I left out.

Interesting use of the collections feature! I've been thinking about compiling a list of all metroidvanias, maybe this would be a good way to do it.

Pretty much what it says, make an AI generated image from any prompt. My favorite go-to is "(Bizarre thing) shopping in Walmart"
Like, Cthulhu shopping in Walmart:

Or a werewolf shopping in Walmart:

You can also add a specific artistic medium. I get the best results from "Acrylic on canvas"
Cthulhu shopping in Walmart, acrylic on canvas:

I love that the first one is a guy shopping in walmart, with an acrylic painting of Cthulhu in his basket.
Werewolf shopping in Walmart, acrylic on canvas:

You can ALSO add "in the style of (famous artist)"
Werewolf shopping in Walmart, acrylic on canvas, in the style of Picasso:

I'll stop there. Post your favorite results!

That's true. I've seen examples where the in-game clock is completely off due to emulation issues.

Yeah, I'm not really sure why "emulation" was added as a choice. I don't see myself ever using it, even though I emulate games whenever possible.

All of the "Warriors" type games, i.e. Samurai Warriors, Hyrule Warriors, etc. It's one of my favorite genres.
I hate how reductive the reviewers get. "It's just button mashing, there's no challenge!" "The enemies just stand around and don't even attack!" That's not the point. The point is, there's a large scale battle going on and it's a large map. You're going to dominate the fight wherever you are, but you can't be everywhere at once. The challenge comes from knowing where you need to be at any given time. If you just stay in one place you're going to win the battle but lose the war. Plus, yes, it's mindless fun.

What order are you playing the games in? If I were you, I'd probably just shove all the sports games to the end of the list and hope I never get that far.

I watched the Yogscast play a Minecraft mod a long time ago, called "To The Moon". It incorporated many different complex mods to add machinery, alchemy, automation, etc. and it had the end goal of building a rocket capable of reaching the moon. This involved gathering TONS of materials which really wasn't feasible to do by hand. You had to work your way up the tech tree until you had automatic factories mining up the materials you needed. The survival mechanics were also much harsher. It even had "quests", which weren't really quests but a guided tutorial teaching you how to use each of the incorporated mods.

I love both the franchises these guys are trying to revive (Wild Arms and Shadow Hearts), so I'd really like to see them succeed. However, they say as much that this kickstarter is to allow them to build a proof of concept, which they will then shop around to various publishers. There's a lot that can go wrong here, but it'll be interesting to watch. The physical copy tier is only $60, so I say why not?

I was in a weird mood when I wrote this, but I'm glad somebody decided to play along :P
I also would have accepted:
Frankenstein isn't the name of the monster
Donkey Kong isn't a monkey
Scorpions and spiders aren't insects

I had an idea for a game featuring Frankenstein and Donkey Kong! While on there quest for the Golden Pendant, they fight scorpions spiders and other insects. What do you think?

So I didn't think quite as much of the movie as you did, but I was interested in some bits of it. There is a single frame, literally one frame ( I'll let you guess which sequence) which shows a YouTube thumbnail. I found that video here:
It's not that interesting, but there is an odd cover of the song "Absolutely" by Nine Days (the This is the Story of a Girl song) which seems to have lyrics about a BDSM club? After Googling that, I found this article https://mashable.com/article/daniels-story-of-a-girl-everything-everywhere-all-at-once?amp
This article is very interesting. Apparently there's 3 versions of "Absolutely" in the movie, and it's even quoted in some of the dialog ("Your clothes never wear as well the next day, your hair never falls in quite the same way"). Even the plot of the movie seems to be about the song.
I still think there's something more to that YouTube video though. It's interesting that the poster's name includes "1214", and the video is 12:13 long. Is there a missing second? I tried pausing the movie at 12:14 but found nothing.

I too had never seen the first Top Gun, watched it the day before, thought it was kinda bad, and then went on to absolutely love Maverick. I hope this is a new leaf for Hollywood movies, we need more like this.
Also just got around to watching Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and it's great! I laughed just as much as the first one, and this one had a lot more to do with the games. Apparently it was the rare sequel to make even more money than the first. A third movie is planned, but with Jim Carrey announcing his retirement I'm not sure how they can do it without him.

Not sure what you mean by "multiply your stats", but I usually log the initial playthrough time, then go back and add in the 100% completion time on the same playthrough.

IGN Playlist is the Perfect Compliment to HLTB

I like that each entry has all the various IGN media associated with that game, i.e. screenshots, videos, and news updates. Some of the lists curated by IGN seem very useful. Like the "Recent Releases" list, it's a very fast, visual way to remind yourself what's come out recently. Also they have lists for what's available on each streaming service. Every game currently on Game Pass and Playstation Now. The HLTB integration seems pretty minimal. At least it has a link to the HLTB entry. I'm guessing it doesn't allow you to add unknown games, which means it's up to IGN when and what gets added to the database, which means you're never really going to be able to build a complete list of your backlog or completion log.
