This entry in the franchise sands off any edge that existed in Metal Gear Solid 1 exept controls. Once you get used to them and the new features, you'll be able to enjoy the great story and experiment with the new hidden mechanics. I think most people know this by now, but in this game you play as a new character called Raiden instead of Snake. That decision put me off a little at first, though it quickly becomes apparent that Raiden is also an interesting character with things happening to him that would bounce off more interesting than Snake again. The graphics hold up very well, and the model designs do as well. All of this culminates into a mastepiece that's gameplay, style, and themes still hold up phenomenally 20 years later.
