Where do your avatars come from?

A new thread about avatars has been made, so this is another one that's kind of similar! Where do your avatars come from?

You can probably guess. I like it though, Fat Yoshi is the best thing! Try to make a better avatar than that! You can't!

Mine's from The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 3rd. A shining pom (in a very not pleasant place but oh well)

It's an old icon that I made a few years ago with one of those icon generation websites. It's just a cropped picture of my desktop background (it being a Jurassic World promotional poster featuring the Baryonyx, my favorite dinosaur) with my nickname written on top of it. Now that I think about it, this is one of the few sites where I still use this icon.

My avatar comes from Dark Souls II. This is a Heide Knight that was positioned near a large tree in the Forest of Fallen Giants. I have always found the Heide knights to be super cool, so that is why it is my avatar for now.

It's the cover of Lana Del Rey's 2nd album, with her being replaced by Rei Ayanami, a character from the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. There's the play on words and they are both vintage waifus, so I've absolutely had to use it.

My avatar is from Monkey Island's sword insult fighting. A battle of wits and a great mechanic in one of my favourite game series.

Yuna Kagurazaka of Galaxy Fräulein Yuna Remix official cover art - she has a Sega Saturn logo on her shoulder and system energy pack on her back. I replaced KOS-MOS of Xenosaga originally having her as my avatar since I've completed Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier last year. The reason why I chose this avatar is because I've been primarily playing PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16, PC Engine CD-ROM²/TurboGrafx-CD and Sega Saturn games - including Ginga Ojousama Densetsu Yuna which has been fan-translated August 25, 2021.

I named myself after The Mock Turtle from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, so it seemed only appropriate he be my avatar as well. This is the original Tenniel illustration, though I must admit I've considered changing to another interpretation every so often (American McGee's versions are fun, especially for a gaming forum).

I would not have guessed that was Baryonyx. Most of its identifying features are cropped out, so I always thought it was some sort of raptor. An interesting choice for your favorite, though; I've always been partial to Parasaurolophus.

I found a picture of an exotic roach species that I liked, cropped it, changed the color, and put it on a simpler background. I am the friendly neighborhood roach after all.

I recently changed mine to this Bitmoji pic I found of my guy getting eaten by a T-Rex. I used to have a reoccurring nightmare as a kid of getting eaten by a T-Rex so I instantly knew it was perfect for me.

Art accompanying the liner notes for the Thrill Kill Kult album 13 Above The Night, which I'm quite fond of. Specifically, it's from the page accompanying the track Blue Buddha. An appropriately coloured variation of the artwork is used as the cover art for the track's single release. The artwork itself, like many other illustrations in the booklet, is likely sourced from somewhere else and somewhat edited (as is the band's aesthetic), but I wouldn't be able to tell you from where.

My avatar is my name stylized using the Super Mario World font. It's my favorite game.

I know I am completely in the minority regarding my love for Final Fantasy XIII. I have completed the trilogy twice have beaten the first game too many times to count and 100% completed it on 2 different systems. I also have Lightnig's bust statue from Square Enix and her plush. I don't know why, sometimes a game just clicks with someone.

I thoroughly enjoyed FF13 (including the end-game challenges) once I got a hang of the role system!
