Like the other entries, Episode 4 is certainly packed with some solid writing, atmosphere and artistry, however I would also call it the most meandering and longest-winded entry of the Wolf Among Us story. Honestly, I think that Telltale should've just had this one be the short entry, as a lot of the scenes really just go nowhere for long stretches of time. Heck, maybe some momentary misdirection or a fast red-herring might have given us the illusion of content where none truly existed, and I would've preferred that over some of the obvious time-stretching moments here. However, I cannot deny that the scenes, despite their length, do certainly contain quite a bit of entertaining, even gripping, content, and I will say that the Cliffhanger is easily my favorite of this series, throwing me not only a massively tension-rising curveball, but one that I absolutely did not expect, and I'm not just wondering “how our heroes are going to make it out”, like usual, but instead I'm completely without ideas as to how even the very next moments might play out.Updated 2 Years Ago

Maybe the shortest and most boring episode in the series, but still, I have really enjoyed myself while playing it. The in-game decisions this time were absolutely ridiculous, they didn't determine the outcome at all, and they were just too basic. But the story's progression finally became a bit more lively, we had great moments with some great characters, and some twists too, I especially liked how the Woodsman's character developed to this point. Even though I was dissapointed a bit with this episode, I just can't wait to play the finale!Updated 7 Years Ago

The writing is still good, and the morality discussions are interesting and nuanced. But by now everything feels pretty formulaic. Every place you go to investigate feels like you either just end up fighting the guy you go to talk to or piecing together clues exactly the way the game wants. Because of the way the engine works, you're either going to hit a dead end or a major breakthrough as dictated by the script. Doesn't seem to matter how well you sleuth around. I'm curious to see how it ends, but I'm not exactly on the edge of my seat.Updated 7 Years Ago

This game just keeps getting better and better. The story keeps becoming more interesting, with characters being developed and new ones being introduced. I wonder what will happen to the detective the next episode.Updated 10 Years Ago

A short experience, but once again they set the atmosphere right and it was tense as ever. I found here in Episode 4 with the stakes getting higher that I'm not able to play it as calm and cool as I may have in the previous episodes. Really can't wait for the finale, but again I wish they were a little bit longer than this.Updated 10 Years Ago
