Episode 3 isn't quite the best, but this is the episode where the pot officially comes to a boil, and I really dig this. It's also where resentments and forgiveness of past actions begin to play out, and this allows much of the story to play out with a mild unpredictability. The ending was also solid and intense, albeit frustrating, and the actual proper conflict is expanded in compelling ways. In fact, this game did something that's rare: It reintroduces the over-arching mystery that you thought you had already solved, WITHOUT resorting to a “Actually you were wrong.” No, instead I was right, but my sense of scope was vastly smaller than what it actually was! It's not perfect, but I dig it.

We're halfway through the game, and even if the story's progression is a tad slow, this episode was quite fun to play. The action was on spot, the episode also could be played in lots of ways - the 3 main locations, where we go to investigate could be visited in any order, and they will vary accordingly. The episode's finale was also action-packed, and quite interesting, it made me very curious about the final two episodes!

I liked that having to choose your leads gives some sense of urgency to this episode. I will say, though, I almost feel like I've reached a point where I care more about the impact something will have in the future as opposed to acting out what I think my version of Bigby would say or do. Like, for instance, I was really thinking about killing Tweedle Dum, but then I thought "Oh but then Snow White will probably like me less," which then felt out of character, and killed the moment for me a little bit.

Bloody Mary also didn't make a dazzling first impression. She has well written lines, but her character and actions felt cliche--especially dragging the axe along the wall of the alley.
