The Walking Dead: 400 Days is a cool DLC. I enjoy the way that it shows the stories of different people. I am curious how it will play into the next season when I play it. The different variety of characters and time frames was a nice difference between it all and overall I don't have any major problems or issues with the game. It was enjoyable and at the end of the day this is the first game I have 100% in a long while. If you enjoy the first game this is a great addition but because it is a DLC and such a short section about an hour and a half I don't have much to say about it.Updated 2.5 Months Ago

Good piece of DLC for The Walking Dead.Telltale Games are well known for creating great story based games in which the objective is not to murder every soul in sight, collect some hidden treasure or set the fastest time, no, its all about telling a story and letting you decide how that story will end.
Because the focus here is based one hundred percent on the story, I will not say anything about it. This is something you need to experience for yourself.
You collect different items that you can/must later use to progress. The game is on rail and apart from some mini games and puzzles, it plays itself forward, after the right choice or response has been given. It gives the feeling of an old school point and click game.
The game can end early when making the wrong decision, in which you need to start over. The whole ending and which characters still live and which dies is entirely up to you. Based on your conversation with characters and your actions, it will dramatically impact the outcome. For this reason, you can play the game over again multiple times, and get many different endings.
The Walking Dead from Telltales looks beautiful and makes good use of the cell shading graphics. The sounds and music are nice and fits the game well.
The biggest strong point of this game is the connection that you establish with the characters and especially, the main character. You get really attached to them. You cannot stop playing because you want to know what is going to happen next.
The 400 days DLC was also a really nice piece of extra story. I enjoyed it immensely. Although the plot here was a little less stunning than the main game. Nevertheless, it played just as fine as the original story.
Definitely recommend this experience to anyone.

out of the 16 characters only 7 are likeable in the first "story" only 1 of the 3 is likeable aka Justin
in the 2nd only 2 of the 6 characters are likeable and don't get me started on that old cunt
in the 3rd both guys are actually alright but whats the point of any of this, none of the characters matter
in the 4th only 2 of the 3 are likeable as for Dee my god she fucking sucks i mean she just out right kills you if you don't hit her first then if you do hit her she acts like you're the bad guy, the dumb fucking cunt.
in the 5th only 1 of the 4 characters are likeable tho the old people don't really get the chance to be likeable so calling them unlike able isn't really fair
Over all it's not bad but wasn't a huge fan maybe if they were longer and things actually mattered and who knows maybe i'll change my mind when i replay season 2 pretty sure there in like at least one of the early episodes, i don't really remember, haven't played season 2 since it first came out but i don't recall them having a big part in season 2 so it's highly unlikely i'm gonna change my mind on this being pointless and the characters not mattering. Also a 3 might seem like i really didn't like this but thats just how i rate stuff really this should be at least a 4 but i rate games 4 if there bad but i kinda liked it and 3 for games i "dislike" but aren't bad per say.

It has better writing than the original game and has a few good moments. But ultimately the Telltale Walking Dead is all about making tough choices and dealing with the consequences. This DLC doesn't have tough choices cause you get to know so little about the characters, and doesn't have consequences cause it's only less than 2 hour long, and even that is split into 5 main characters.
So this DLC might be a fun time waster, but in the end, it's very forgettable and skippable. I would be able to change my mind if the DLC characters show up in the later seasons and if my choices are reflected. Probably not though.

Sorry, as much as I enjoy playing it once,- they are almost all non-choices (except 1)
- total playtime was 90 minutes for me (and I am a slow player).
Keep in mind I played the entire base game and enjoyed it, so when I say 4 are really non-choices in the end, but also offer no real choices during them, I am not kidding.
The claim that your choices affect the story is just too far from applied and it is too short to recommend at all.

400 Days is an odd little entry to the Walking Dead series by Telltale's adventure catalog, and once you find out the COMPLETELY unpredictable way that the events you choose effect Season 2, it becomes clear that 400 Days can only be described as a successful gaming experiment. To sum up, the game tells five different stories, between 10-25 minutes (most about 15 or so), that run independent but are ultimately connected. For example, one involves a man on death row on a prison bus when the zombies first appear Another story involves people running from thugs, and during their run, they cross a dead street, past that very bus. Another involves a boy being picked up by a shady individual who takes him to an abandoned Cafe This same Cafe is the center point for the longest story, as well as a place that the main characters drive by in a third. One interesting aspect, in addition, is one character actually hides from a scary living human, and finds himself next to the rotting corpse of a person that he does not know, but you, having played Season 1, knew all too well. That's seriously good storytelling. And in many ways, that's what this game is nothing but good storytelling. These five stories are ultimately inconsequential, but during the 90 minutes or so needed to play through, you'll experience some pretty intense emotions. And as mentioned before, the final scene leads into Season 2 in a completely opposite way than I, or anyone else (likely), could have predicted. This game is fluff when all is said and done, but it represents the series' emotional spectrum at its very best, and as such, if you are a fan of the series, skipping over this Season 1.5 mini-chapter would be criminal.Updated 3.5 Years Ago

This was a great little addition to The Walking Dead Game Season 1. While we didn’t spend long enough with each character to really bond with them in the same way we did in the original game it was chock full of the difficult and often horrible choices that made the main game so good! If you enjoyed the main game then this DLC is a must buy!Updated 3.5 Years Ago

Not as strong as the mainline game but it is intriguing to see a set area over a span of time and the Different characters that occupy that area during a given time and the way they interconnect. I don’t think it adds much value to the experience as a dlc but it’s nice if you’re into the game.Updated 4 Years Ago

The 400 Days is alright, but it's nothing great. It barely affects season 2 and I didn't like most of the few choices. If I replayed TWD, I doubt I'd bother playing this and jump straight to season 2.Updated 4 Years Ago

+ Good graphics with an interesting art style that should shield it from aging.+ Good voice acting
+ Interesting characters
- Strange audio levels though where some scenes are erratically louder or quieter than others.
+ Good choices, both in dialogue as well as in game choice terms.
++/- Mostly good writing but with occasional hiccups. The way their stories tie in with each other is fantastic.
- Still doesn't run that well but is better than the general TWD game, though that might just be because it's short and doesn't have as much time to have issues.
Each bit did feel like a short story, but they all had enough packed in to it to make them feel worthwhile.

Ótimo game. Tão bom quanto o "Walking Dead: Episodes 1 to 5", mas bastante curto.
+ Jogabilidade: Ok. Igual ao "Episodes 1 to 5".
+ Replay: Como o "Episodes 1 to 5", o Replay faz sentido, porque as escolhas do jogador influenciam a história.

This game aims for prologuing the actual events during Season Two and it really does. However, it still feels a little faulty once it can't replicate the same feelings we had for the Season One characters. A nice addition and still a perfect prequel for an outstanding title yet to come by that time.Updated 9 Years Ago

Pretty good DLC, a couple standout stories, one that was fairly lame. There just wasn't much time to develop some of these characters or their situations, though I can't wait to have them expanded upon in Season 2. Some neat new gameplay mechanics. At the end I spent an hour trying to win rock, paper, scissors to 100% the game. Finally did it.Updated 9.5 Years Ago

Totally lacking of anything substantial. Way too short, and needed more time to develop the characters. The whole thing felt so spread out and jumbled up. Didn't like most of the characters. Felt generally rushed, even for an hour and a half game. I don't think it's a good idea trying to cram something like the first Walking Dead into something so short. In a sentence? The whole thing felt really shoehorned in.

Update after playing season 2: The '400 Days' storyline bears no impact on the second season, and getting its original characters to show up again doesn't mean anything other than incidental cameos. One character from this storyline shows up and plays a significant role regardless, however, but her role in '400 Days' doesn't add a significant or interesting backstory.N.B. "400 Days" is a short bridge between Telltale's critically-acclaimed episodic first season of The Walking Dead, released over the course of 2012, and the upcoming second season.
If you consider yourself a fan of the first season, and intend to pick up the second, I must advise to ignore any negativity had towards the many faults of the "400 Days" episode and get your mitts on this ASAP.
I'm happy I got it; I'm happy I played it, but it's the bottom of the barrel for The Walking Dead's first season, and yet I have no reservations looking forward to seeing how season 2 is impacted by my choices. That said, trying to describe the chaotic mess that is this network of character sketches, The Word is schizophrenic. I can only imagine the difficulty for the writers in trying to condense 5 different characters' introductions into roughly 60-90 minutes (making this the shortest episode) while maintaining a level of believable and attractive development. This is a story- and character-driven series, after all. The concept sounds neat on paper, but given the timeframe of 400 days what we get is a disconnected mess of bad pacing and especially bad dialogue.
The first two chronological scenarios introducing the characters of Vince and Wyatt were the worst offenders, with dialogue alternating between heavy (i.e., forced; unrealistic) character development to this cyclonic action-packed rush to just End the Darn Scenario Already. Like, I liked Wyatt enough from the snippet we get of who he is, but suddenly driving into a possible zam while on the run and lost in the woods does not mean the characters should awkwardly discuss the situation with interrupting and inappropriate jokes for most of the scenario's 15 or so minutes, slowly droning on about the situation one second and checking oneself out the next, followed
