PS4

I am curious as to who all got the PS4 and what your thoughts of it are so far.

I really like the new interface its simple to go through and find what you are looking for.

I got Knack which I am done already and Killzone Shadow Fall Which I am working on now. Both games I really like. I do like Knack more though duh to the fact that I'm not a shooter fan.

The controller feels so nice in the hand like a lot better then the PS3 and earlier controllers. The triggers, analogs, and the grip on the back are perfect.

Hardware:
I played for about 12 hours straight yesterday. Had PSN disconnect a couple times but no other issues. Hardware is running like a champ, no lock ups or anything.

Only issue I had was I'm unable to stream content yet, I'm assuming it's because PSN is getting hit hard.

I absolutely love the OS. People might think it's bare bones but that's what I like about it. It's super simple and fast and everything is in a very logical spot. I did party chat with 2 friends and that worked flawlessly. It seemed like my trophies were syncing by themselves. Whenever I went into trophies my count went up before the sync, even though it still said it was syncing. Installing games is super fast, put the disk in, launch it and it took about 30 seconds to get going. PSN downloads were fast as well, I downloaded Resogun, Flower and Contrast in less than 10 minutes.

I wish you could sort trophies in different ways.

I also love the What's New content stream. It displays things like "______ achieved their highest Kill count in Killzone" Or "_______ got a new high score in Resogun!" It's cool to see what your friends were doing since you were last online.

Going to a friends profile and joining his game was awesome. A friend was playing Killzone and I picked "Join" and it showed how many people were in that server, what map and how much time was left, all right from the profile. I picked join and jumped straight into the match. Didn't load anything.

Killzone:
Beat the game on Hard, I can't believe the reviewers and I are playing the same game.

The single player is awesome. I love the open ended-ness and the approachability of every situation. And I LOVE the fact that they don't slap you in the face with instructions on where to go. It reminds me of Half-Life where the environments are big and you have to figure out what you're doing and it isn't always obvious. There are a lot of story moments where you aren't just shooting people, plus the whole story is in first person. Dialog is a little weak, but I enjoyed the concepts of the story.

Only played about 2 hours of multiplayer, I like it so far but it was a little slower than I expected.

Knack:
Playing it on hard, about 3-4 hours in. I definitely like it so far, it's obviously a throwback title and is quite difficult but rewarding when you do well.

I've had 2 cases of my system freezing, and they both came when Warframe was updating. Had to pull the power for one of them, luckily everything seems fine. Seems to be a problem among quite a few people right now, that updating Warframe freezes their console, as people are complaining about it on various forums, and a developer has stated that they are looking into it

I heard that some PS4 were having some issues but they said you should contact sony that they would fix it

Most issues were caused from the Taco Bell winners. and like 1 that IGN had. Now all the other issues that people got on release date aren`t all that bad.

You said you downloaded Flower... Is that a PS4 specific version? I have it for PS3 on my PSN account - would I have to buy it again for PS4? Same for any other game really.

Not that I'm really currently considering getting a PS4... Too many damn PC games to play, and I still have several PS3 games left on my backlog.

Actually, while I'm here, can I ask how is the PS4 for noise and heat? And does it play Blu-Rays well? I'm pretty happy with my 320g PS3 Slim (1st version) in that regard.

$15 I believe unless they lowered the price.

I'm enjoying Contrast with the PS+ There really ins't any games on the launch that i want to play. The interface is very nice, and i love the new controller. Only down side is the home network features i use on the 2 PS3's i have now to stream movies and content from a home server. I read they are going to address this and create a patch to fix. Other than that i'm looking forward to some games i want to play for the system....but GT6 will be eating some time from me : )

Despite my want to play InFamous Second Son already, I think I'll wait on a PS4 Slim version. If the PS4 is already this good I'm excited what a newer version can bring
