Recently completed watching season one of Interview with a Vampire. I was excited about this show and I'm a huge fan of the 1994 movie, but I am sad to say it was not everything I hoped it would be. Every episode I watched I kept thinking this is where it gets really good waiting for it to improve but unfortunately, it never did. Maybe I'm being a little hard on the show it is coming out with a second season I'll have to see if I feel motivated to watch it when it comes out.

You should try The Xenosaga series if you are looking for a great story.

The X Files: I want to believe (2008)

I've been watching the series and just finished season 9 had to watch this before season 10. I'm a fan of the show but seasons 1-3 had this magic that they can't seem to get back.

Just started playing Bioshock 2. Excellent so far - why did I wait so long to do this?

One of my favorite series. I'm planning to do another playthrough before the summer is over. 🙂

I prioritize the games that I am really interested in; for example, I will buy Spider-Man 2 instead of Super Mario Bros. Wonder since they are releasing on the same day. I will still check out the new Mario game, but not on its release date.

I like to prioritize as well if I have been waiting for it I will get it on day one. If I'm passively interested I'll wait till it's on sale.

As for games that never go on sale I get it when I can.

I am here to whittle down this massive thing called a backlog. I used to trophy hunt more than actually complete games just for fun. But now am finding fun just playing games just to enjoy them. I still have goals that I want to accomplish but those are more personal and not one that gets a trophy for it. I think it will be more rewarding when I finish it.

I understand how you feel. Personally, I find it difficult to play as a Trophy hunter or a completionist because it takes away from the fun of the game. That being said, I do like to see the credits roll with at least a 75% 😋

I'm skeptical looks a little choppy to me in some scenes. I'm not sure I would brag about it taking 25 years to make 🤣

I'm not going to preorder it, but I'll probably still give its a try eventually

Darksiders -It's a hack-and-slash action adventure. It's fun and involves some puzzles with angels vs demons theme.

I was conflicted and couldn't decide what to install last night and settled on Valkyria Chronicles.

Black & White! That series was incredibly fun before it died and is now abandonware.

Also Dungeon Keeper. The first two Dungeon Keeper games were amazing, there hasn't been anything since that scratches that itch the way Dungeon Keeper did.

I could be entirely wrong but I was under the impression that PSO2 was pretty much self contained in terms of plot. The four classics PS 1-4 are interrelated. I would appreciate a PS 5. That being said your right it’s not “dead” so I amend my answer to just Shining Force 😋

Shining Force I had a lot of fun playing it or maybe Phantasy Star.

I really liked the remake, but I get what you mean about the linearity. My only hope is that it's because they've made a quite linear ~6 hour part of the original into a ~60 hour game and that's whats caused the rather static feel. I too remember looking at some of the maps and being like "damn, this is FFXIII".

Hopefully, when they get to the next chapter it will open up a bit more in terms of exploration (as in the original, this would be the overworld areas).

I liked it I just liked the original better. I would have preferred a 1:1 remake. But, I will wait till they finish all three parts for my review.

To be honest, I'm not sure. I already have a Switch, and I typically play it on my TV. The earbuds look pretty cool though.

I'll confess I watched the Amazon show (up to season 2) first and that's way more obvious about the book's love of Americana, so take my opinion with a pinch of salt.

That said though, I like it. The concept is on-point and the aforementioned admiration for Americana gives the whole tone and book a unique feeling. It helps that Gaiman is an imaginative writer and I just click with the way he writes generally.

I think Shadow in the books surpasses Shadow from the show in terms of how his character feels early days - I think that's maybe more that TV is a hard medium to get quiet introspective characters across.

Solid recommendation to either though.

Crypt of the Necrodancer: Cadence of Hyrule. I like rhythm games and I tried several times to get into this but it was just not happening. And due to that I can’t look into the original either, so I feel sad every time it goes really cheap on sale because I really wanted to like it. 😭

I guess I just couldn’t get into the rhythm of this one.

I guess it's not your Soul's companion.. haha

I've heard similar opinions before. Nintendo could have created a new franchise rather than incorporating Breath of the Wild into the Zelda series.

Dwarf Fortress. That game engine is capable of creating some amazing stories, but I don't have the patience to sit down and actually play it again. Maybe I'll get around to playing the Steam version.

I haven't yet played Dwarf Fortress, I am a fan of strategy games such as Civ and Age of Mythology. Maybe would be worthwhile for me to explore this game as well.🤔

Personally, that game is Genshin Impact. It has an expansive open world and an engaging storyline. With a plethora of daily activities such as cooking and side quests, there is always something to do. Additionally, the community is incredibly welcoming and I have yet to encounter any toxic players during my time playing. In general, I was hoping to have a good time playing this game, but unfortunately, it's not my cup of tea. The "gacha" aspect and the emphasis on min-maxing just don't appeal to me, so I haven't been playing it.

Currently got two books on the go. A re-read of Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 and my first read of Gaiman's American Gods.

How do you like American Gods? I've read a few reviews and it looks interesting.

For 2D fighter games, I recommend DB FighterZ (pretty newbie friendly; just don't go to ranked matches; combos are easy to perform with only a few semi/quarter circle inputs); Mortal Kombat 11 (I had fun playing this game with my friends; the inputs and combos are also easy to perform); and SSBU (personally, I didn't like the gameplay, but I had fun playing this with friends, especially the chaos of couch co-op).

You can also try BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, Street Fighter, KoF, and other games, but they're too complicated and very difficult to learn.

For 3D fighter games, I recommend Tekken (the only fighting game where I actually compete online, and I do think it is easier compared to other fighting games). I haven't played Soulcalibur, but I think it's also great.

For Arena fighter games, they're mostly anime-based, but I really like the Ultimate Ninja Storm series and Jump Force (sadly, it got discontinued and is unavailable for purchase). I am also looking forward to trying the Demon Slayer game.

I want to give the Demon Slayer game a try too. It looks like a lot of fun.
