Inbento is a wonderfully stylized puzzle game. You have a bento and some ingredients, and your job is to make your bento look like the one in the picture. The game has around 100 levels, split into groups of 10, where the first 5-6 are pretty easy, teaching you a new mechanic, the next 2-3 are a bit harder, where you might have to try a few times to get everything right, and the last 1-2 are decent brain teasers, which feel very satisfying to finally complete. Then it resets with a new mechanic, and you go again. Completing a set of levels can take around 20 minutes or so, giving the game around 3-4 hours of solid puzzling.

Overall it's a fun game, and a unique twist on puzzling with a kawaii aesthetic. If you're looking for a pick-up-and-play experience, this is an easy buy at a modest price.

I thought this game looked like a relaxing cute puzzle game and for the first 7~8 “chapters” it was fun because nothing was overly difficult. From the 9th chapter onward, I was stumped by most of the puzzles. Maybe the game didn't click with me, but there are so many possible moves and combinations it seemed impossible without some kind of hint system (which the game lacks for some reason). I ended up using video guides and watching the first 1~3 steps depending on how many pieces they give you for the puzzle. After learning a few moves, I would try and figure out how to complete the rest. I have no idea how people solved these without just massive amounts of trial and error. To me it seems like there is no actual method/technique to learn when it comes to these puzzles. You basically would be forced to try every combination and eventually you’d figure it out. Overall, I like the game and it’s presentation, but it turned out to be a bit too difficult from my primitive brain.

A cute, charming puzzle game about cats making bento boxes for each other.

The devs managed to make 127 total levels (126 + 1 hidden one at the end) out of a 3x3 grid & a handful of tools to swap the ingredients around - and that's quite impressive imo.

I recommend this to anyone who's a fan of puzzle games and/or cats. It's a nice calming food organization simulator - and sometimes, that's just all ya need.

Love the art, the story is cute, but the puzzles themselves became extremely tired and trial/error for the last third of the game.

Really touching and cute puzzle game! I am not the best at these and I had to resort to some guides towards the end, but overall really enjoyed it.
