I'm just wondering what hardware other people use to play their games on? I currently have far too many options and am considering get rid of a few. I tried earlier in the year but failed miserably - just too many good games!
I currently have
- high-end gaming PC with Radeon HD7850 attached to 37" HDTV (playing games with an Xbox 360 controller only)
- PS3 Slim 320gb (for PS3 exclusives and some others)
- iMac with OS X / Windows 7 dual boot (for Mac and PC games that require a keyboard and mouse)
- iPad 4 & iPhone 4S (don't actually use these much for games, apart from stuff like World of Goo and Sword & Sorcery)
- Gamecube (for when I fancy a bit of Zelda, Mario or Monkey Ball!)
- Oh, and I also have an old work laptop that I occasionally use to play less demanding games like old RPGs and point'n'click adventures.
You may think of this as a boast-list, but I don't. If anything, it shows how out of control I am with my gaming addiction!!!

PlayStation 3; also used for PS2 and PS1 games, since it's one of the backwards-compatible models
PlayStation Portable (3000)
PlayStation Vita (Wifi Version)
Wii; also used for GameCube games
Wii U (Deluxe Version)
GBA SP, which I just use for Game Boy Color games, due to the inferior screen compared to...
DS Lite; also used for GBA games, and I have the original model too
3DS XL; and again, I have the original model as well
iPod Touch (4th generation, 64 GB)
And the Mac on which I type this, which I've only used to play a grand total of three games: American McGee's Alice, Clock Tower: The First Fear, and Katawa Shoujo, the last of which being what I'm playing now.
This of course not counting the fact that some of those can play titles from older systems rereleased digitally (Virtual Console, et al).

I am luckily dating a fellow gamer, so the many items of my collection are allowed since she enjoys them as well, and has/had the same consoles so when we moved in together the library just grew more lol
The majority of my games are played on PC which was high end 2 years ago, but still plays anything that has come out just fine...I use 2 25inch screens, and sometimes a controller on there depending heavily on the game. I plan to do some upgrades after we build the girlfriend a new rig as hers is hitting the 5-6 year mark.
on my main TV in the living room I have my
PS3 (barely touched, more a glorified blu-ray player or used for exclusive ps3 titles)
Xbox 360 (my primary console)
Wii-U
Bedroom TV-
PS2 (my PS3 is not backwards compatible)
Wii
In the drawer for when I want to play games on them:
NES
SNES
N64
Gamecube
HandHelds:
PSP (original model and a god of war red one, though both have battery issues)
Gameboy
Gameboy Pocket
GBA SP
DS
DS Light
Ipad(though used only for a handful of things) (Use mostly for PDFs for table top games so I don't lug around the books)
Android Phone (Again mostly just for giggles when I am waiting somewhere and get bored)
And older laptop that I use for gaming on the weekend and overnight shifts I have to do at work, or for my PDFs for table top games, so we can have more people accessing different books.
My work laptop that has a couple mindless games on it, though I get more tempted to install some better games as the thing actually is pretty good for a laptop.

Probably 99% of the time recently it's been my monstrosity of a desktop PC (seriously, the thing is enormous). I've just been accumulating so many cheap and awesome games for it, plus it's just about fast enough to emulate anything in existence with a working emulator for it, so if I'm lazy sometimes I just play things on there rather than pull the original system out. My MacBook is slightly too old (and slightly too broken, and I'm getting sick of opening it up) to run anything recent well, and even some 2D stuff kind of sucks on it, so I mostly don't bother using it, but it's worked in an emergency on game night before.
I also have almost every Nintendo console ever, from the NES through the SNES, N64, GC, and Wii, plus an original GB, GBC, and even a Virtual Boy, and one of these days I'll go pick up my friend's DS Lite. My friends/roommates over the years had the various Sega/Sony consoles, so I never ended up with any of my own (although I almost got a used Dreamcast at one point). I pull them all out from time to time, but I don't use any of them on a daily (or even monthly) basis.
My ex got me one of these a few years back when it was new: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dingoo which I mostly use while traveling, although if I remember to stick it in my pocket, it can be good to have around whenever I'm stuck waiting for a while. It's pretty nice for emulating stuff because it actually has all the right buttons in the right place.
And then there are the VIC-20 and the 80s/early 90s Macs, which all spend most of their time in storage, but every now and then I fire them up, make sure they work, and play a bit of something or other on them, just like my friend does with his old BBC Micro. It's actually getting to be about that time again...

Let's see... I have an NES (somewhere around here), a Super Nintendo, a Dreamcast, two Wiis, a Wii U, an N64, a PS2, a PS3, a DS, a 360, and a box full of broken old consoles.
Then I have my big daddy PC. It's not super high end, but it's capable of running Battlefield 3 at low-medium settings. It's a Microtel AMTI9025, and it has certainly served me well over the past few months. I was always afraid of becoming a PC gamer... but I've barely touched my consoles since the semester ended.

I mainly use my 500gb super slim ps3 in my bedroom.
I have a ps2 set up in a caravan outside our house.
PSP for when i'm travelling.
GBA sp for pokemon.
Gameboy Colour that I can't find any of the games for it other than tetris, might have to do some shed searching.
I think we have a snes or nes in the shed somewhere so i'll have to do some shed searching for that as well.
Laptop that can't play new games, mainly used for Age of Empires, Halo, Star Wars Battlefront 2 etc.
Might get a next gen but it wouldn't be for a fair while, would love to have a high end pc as well as a console but I'm only 16 and still in school and not making much money at the moment and trying to save most of it.

I feel impoverished compared to all of you!
I own a 4-year old laptop that I use for older PC games.
I own a PS2.
I own an Xbox 360.
I am moving in a month and when that happens:
- I will lose my high-end gaming computer at work that I use to play current PC games.
+ I will gain a PS3
+? My girlfriend has a Wii that is at her parents' house that we may or may not be able to abscond with.

I got all my gaming devices hooked up to my 42 inch TV in my bedroom.
My gaming devices are:
A decent PC from 2009, good enough to play crysis 3 on normal with over 60 fps. I usually use gamepad, but got no problem with using mouse and keyboard, I have slowly made PC my main gaming device since the fps drops on 360 have recently become a problem for me.
Wii U: problem is that there is not that much to play on it yet.. Havn't touched it for 6 months and will probably not touch it for another 6 months..
Old fat PS3 from 2006ish: Used for its exclusives. Not used too often. Played through Last of Us and still slowly progressing through Ni No Kuni and God of War Ascension. Also used as PS1 and PS2, playing Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance/Champions of Norrath never gets old :D
Old white Xbox 360 from 2006ish: Used to be my main gaming device but during the last months I have gone over to PC for the non exclusives. Halo 4 and Gears of War Judgement are fun online with old friends of mine. ;) Also gone back to playing GTA IV online. Did you see the new GTA V gameplay trailer? That has hyped me even more for my favourite game series new installment.
Wii: Used for playing gamecube games and Wii games (mostly Super Smash Bros Melee/Brawl). Lately I played through the Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 which are totally amazing. Nintendo please make a new single player 3d Mario amazingness like Super Mario Universe (get it, starts with a U :P). The new Super Mario 3D World with the cat suits doesn't really appeal to me that much :/
Nintendo 64: 100% Mario Kart 64 always fun when you have some buds over. Also some Mario Party 1, 2, 3
SNES: Used for Yoshi's Island. The first game I beat and still my favourite game. Playing it always make me happy and takes me back to my childhood. Ah Nostalgia!
I also got some portable gaming devices;
Gameboy Color: My mother bought soo many gameboy Color games for me. A lot of them are unfortunately rubbish. I mess around with them sometimes, like once a year or so :p
Gameboy Advance: Now here I've got some sweet games. All the Castlevania games are so freakishly great! I love Castlevania. I haven't completed any of them yet but I have a plan of finishing them soon
Gameboy Advance SP: The same as Advance but a visable screen. It's the one I usually use for advance and Gameboy Color games
Iphone: Not really a gaming device but I have found some games there I found good enough for waiting for the train time (Ridiculous Fishing and Badlands come to mind).
I used to have a DS and PSP but sold them because I didn't see any reason for keeping them. They didn't have any games that really grabbed my interest.
I am thinking of buying a 3DS XL, which has some games that seems interesting (Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 and the new Fire Emblem, aand the Ocarina of Time remake) but not really enough to make me buy one. Besides I have so many unfinished games. I've got a childs brain which thinks that everything I don't have is better than what I have :P

Currently this is what I've got going:
3 PSPs because I'm crazy about the original PSP.
4 DS Lites because I'm even crazier about the DS Lite.
1 3DS XL
1 Wii currently hooked up in the living room.
1 PS2 currently hooked up in my dork cave (plus 1 spare BNIB PS2 in closet).
1 GameCube currently hooked up in my dork cave.
1 OG Xbox currently hooked up in my dork cave.
1 PC Desktop currently set up in my dork cave mostly used for GOG releases.
1 PC Laptop currently loaded with a bunch of emulator stuff.
1 Dreamcast in my dork cave closet.
I think that's all I'm rocking right now. Sold off my old 16-bit and 8-bit systems long ago because of the dirty siren call of emulation. I plan to finally pick up a 360 and PS3 sometime this year. Not been in a big hurry at all for those two systems because my backlog is so ridiculous for what I already have.

At the moment I've got the following:
PS3
Xbox 360 (no kinect)
Wii U
Playstation Vita
Nintendo 3DS
I also play a lot of games on my Desktop PC which I built a few years back after I finished a PC college course
Nintendo 64 (I recently bought an old CRT TV from Goodwill and hooked this up, I hadn't played it in years)
Super Nintendo (I haven't actually touched it in a long time)
I've also pre ordered the PS4 and would love to eventually get a Gamecube, but the component cables are crazy expensive so getting a regular Wii would be cheaper. I used to have a Sega Dreamcast but was young and dumb and sold it at a yard sale with all my games :(. I've thought about getting another one off ebay at some point but the only game I really want to play that's not on other systems is Shenmue so it's probably not worth it to me. When I was very young i had an NES but sold it as well when I was young and dumb ha.

Wow. Seeing all these extensive lists makes me feel a bit better about what I thought was too many gaming devices... though at one point I also had a Wii and an Xbox 360 Slim.
My plan was to try and complete all the games I have on PS3 that I'm bothered about and then get rid of it, just sticking to PC gaming on my HDTV and wiping the Windows partition on my Mac so I only play Mac games on it, for neatness. And then also taking that old work laptop back to work so I'm not tempted to play ancient 100+hour RPGs in bed!
But I've had real trouble with Blu-Ray playback on my PC - it's just too much of a faff to get working at all, let alone with playback as smooth and error-free as the PS3. Perhaps I'll try find a decent stand-alone Blu-Ray player.

Laptops with screens are for wimps. This used to be my old one (a long time ago) before I built a working screen for it from spare parts from broken ones:

Coincidentally enough, there's even a game running in one of the windows visible in that picture (front-most left). Yay for MUDs, the text-based predecessors of modern MMOs. I think I'm recompiling it to test some changes in one of the other windows (front-most right), judging by the layout of the output. The others are left as an exercise for the reader.

Currently I have:
-Low-end PC (aside from the graphics card, splurged on that lol)- though I'll be building a new high end rig this year sometime.
- PS4
- PS3
- PS2
- PS Vita
- Xbox 360
- SNES
- N64
- Wii
- Wii U
- Gameboy Color
- DS Lite
- 3DS
- Android (phone)
I hope to buy a Switch this year. Or maybe next year. When the new Shin Megami Tensei or core Pokemon game come out for it... if I don't have one by then they'll be the tipping point.

I have a mid-grade gaming PC (3 TB hard-drive, 16 GB ram, 8-core processor, etc...) hooked up right next to my bed, so I can lay down while, usually, reading visual novels or PC gaming with my PS4 controller. The 3 TB isn't nearly enough, so I'm gonna upgrade soon.
-PS4, Switch, Majora's Mask 3DS. Zelda WiiU
-PS3, PS2, 3 Gamecubes for some reason:/, XBOX 360
-N64, Atari, SNES, Gameboy Advance, and DSi
Sorry for the messy pictures. I'm pretty sick right now. I usually keep my PC area a little bit cleaner.

I primarily play on my PS4, 3DS, and my laptop, which is nothing special but its able to play most of the games I want to play on it. I also play Wii U a bit when I'm home from school to play Zelda and virtual console games. I also have the NES and SNES classics, which I play on and off. Also, since me and my brothers like to keep our old consoles I have an NES, N64, PS1, PS2, PS3, and a Wii. I come back to play these every once in awhile, like today for example I just randomly decided to continue playing Ratchet and Clank on the PS2, which last time I touched that was in 2013. My brother also has a Switch, which I haven't played much on it yet except for Mario Kart, but I plan on playing Mario Odyssey on it at some point.
Edit: Forgot to say I also have a DS Lite and GBA. Also I think we still have my Mom’s old Game Boy in the house somewhere.
