Boring story, really slow gameplay, really repetitive scenarios and enemies.Really basic gameplay, really slow leveling.
The gameplay is fine at the beginning but the game gets boring because everything is so slow.

I understand that people who played TQ a long time ago might be more biased to TQ but it was not possible for me to get into the game. If you have never played another game in the genre it might be good. Despite getting it for free after an hour I gave up. I have to continue my quest to find something to scratch that Diablo itch. Perhaps I’ll try Torchlight next or maybe I will just return to Diablo 3 in the end despite the awful company Blizzard has become.Updated 1 Year Ago

Updated 1 Year Ago

Decent for a top down ARPG for its time but like many action titles from that time it’s slow and long with a bland plot and not much to keep the interest for longer than a handful of hours.Updated 1 Year Ago

There are few great actions RPGs out there and Titan Quest is one of them. Launched in 2006 and its last expansion was released last year (2021)! Anyway, let's talk about it.Storywise it can be extremely great or just meh. It depends on your taste for mythology. The story itself is nothing from another world, but the theme where it's set in is amazing. It even has "storytellers" across the game that tells you little stories about gods/deities...
Graphics. Like I said, Titan Quest is from 2006 so take that in mind. Still, it aged pretty well. The scenarios are the main actor here. They are very different from act (i.e. chapter) to act so you will not get bored very easily.
Gameplay. It plays like any "Diablo-clone". Some builds might be more interesting than others and that will determine your experience.
Soundtrack. It's mainly calm/ambient music, also it fits throughout the acts which helps a lot with the immersion. Another big plus is the voice acting which is available in all quests, even side ones!
So, I recommend Titan Quest to anyone who likes Diablo or similar games and also for people who really enjoy mythology (you won't regret it).

Mediocre diablo-like. Too slow feeling of progression. Unbalanced item system. Enemies and environments recycle too much. It's hard making a game in the diablo genre. The problem being that Diablo perfected the whole subgenre in their first go. So much that even the sequels don't quite hold up to the original imo. Titan quest is a valiant effort but feels like a mediocre game in the process.
When titan quest was first released it was a good alternative to Diablo. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm not sure how it garnered the fans that it has over the years because it wasn't remarkable back then and it certainly isn't now. On top of being a bland game with nothing that really stands out there's also the little bugs and technical issues. For instance, this version supports 4K resolution. But when moving to 4K the menu becomes really tiny and there's nothing you can really do about it. Luckily this isn't a big issue because the HUD within the came can be made bigger. However, this doesn't work completely because the buttons on the top left of the screen don't work properly. When I try to press them, either my character starts walking there are the wrong menu pops up. Then there's the issue that after playing for a while my potion buttons disappeared. But even without these issues I couldn't really recommend it to anyone, while it's not a bad game there simply isn't anything you haven't seen done before and done better. Understandable since it's an old game off course.

Played until beating the legendary exclusive boss.It can be very hard to accurately click on foes, so spells are your best friend. It is rare for the non-boss difficulty of this game to be more than 'woops, I instantly died because I ran my 14+ enemy stack into a hero monster or someone who could root me'. There are a few stand out bosses, but most of them are more of a stat-check rather than making sure you know the encounter. Farming for any artifacts can be annoying as it depends on a lot of 1%> drops happening multiple times for the correct recipes and (difficulty-keyed) ingredients.
As better drops become more obtainable, they also become less useful as the charms/relics needed for the Epic difficulty Original/IT end boss and Legendary bosses.
It is not as fun or exciting as other games in its genre (Torchlight 1/2, Diablo 1/2, etc...), but it is more than adequate to secure its niche as a mythology-based Diablo clone.

Still the same great game it always was with some new improvements, but I've already put hundreds of hours into it, and it feels kind of clunky after playing Grim Dawn for a while, even if I do like the setting/world/characters/etc. more in this.Updated 7.5 Years Ago
