I can't be the only one who has created art inspired by my love of gaming. Here is a fun collage that I did with clippings of videogame magazines and a glue-stick. Please post your own pieces, whether they be drawings, sculptures, songs, anything goes.

Nice collage! I am far from artistic enough to make cool things, but I love to see new art! :3

Hmm, I draw but I make up stuff to draw rather than established things. I did use Portal 2 samples throughout a trance/house song for my last album though. Nothin' special, but here's the link if you're interested:

Picture was taken when it was still clay and before she painted it.

pongsifu, I had a chance to listen to your albums, The Floor is Now Lava & Two - In Dedication. You have a really unique style. How do you compose your tracks? I really enjoyed your Dojo song with its DDR sample.
I recently saw local musician 3 of 5. He composes songs on his 3DS using Rhythm Core Alpha ($5 in the Nintendo store) and plays them live. I was surprised at how good his stuff is. Check it out here https://cllct.com/art/3of5 and https://www.facebook.com/pages/3-of-5/220632338006989

Thanks :) Lolicore is a pretty underground genre, but I try to have a much more melodic style than most lolicore artists. Use of breakcore is normal, but I don't know of any that also use house or trance. I also try to vary my song styles as much as possible. Sometimes I'll create the songs using entirely different methods just to try and get them to sound different from each other.
I just use FL studios to compose them.
Oh, and if you didn't know what lolicore is, the gist of it is fast paced electronic music with "loli" vocals, which is usually anime samples or sped up vocals from sample songs (like that DDR song). The genre is somewhere up there with nintendocore and nerdcore as "nerdiest music in existence".

That's pretty amazing you did all that in FL Studio. How do you import the vocal samples and chop them up? Sorry I am a FL noob :P

To import you just drag them from a folder into the open FL studio screen. Chopping them up is more of a process because I have a much different method of using the program than most people do, I've found. But, it works for me, I guess. I've seen people use other methods that seem convoluted to me, but perhaps I'm the one doing it the hard way, who knows. FL is interesting in that there are several ways to get the same thing accomplished, so you can approach something how you are comfortable with.
I've tinkered with a few other programs, but FL seems the easiest/best for what I'm doing with it. I've considered branching out into other projects/genres, like maybe metal or orchestral, but I'd definitely have to start using a new program for either of those (FL is notorious for being terrible at creating guitar sounds). It is also pretty good for ambient music though.

I apologize for digging up this old thread, but I wanted to share some of my game art. All of these were done as portrait practice.

Corvo from Dishonored

Adam Jensen from Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil 6

Ezio Auditore da Firenze from Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher

No better reason to bump a thread based on art. Solid artwork, if you do any more in the future I hope you share them with us :D

I bring to you more videogame fan art. This time Altair from Assassin's Creed.
