The spoiler tag handling is much better on mobile now. Thanks!

Before I would highlight ("select all") the whole page to read spoilers comfortably.

What about adding GOG.com profile link? They're not that popular, but they have such pro-consumer policies that I guess they deserve some love.

Should be easy enough: https://www.gog.com/u/<username here>

What form does this improved spoiler handling take? Because I still can't view them without pasting the text somewhere. I use Safari on my iPhone, set to force desktop mode, but as far as I know it still pushes the mobile view. And forcing a mobile website gives me the same thing.

I've never been able to view the spoiler hidden text on mobile Safari as well. I've been using Firefox on my iPod Touch mainly for this website because of the spoiler tags.

This is a very minor issue, but I notice that on this page, the "Gaming" link has the same background color as the background behind it. This seems to go against your pattern of making the link background color different than the container around it.

I'll have to check it out on my wife's phone. Safari is the browser that doesn't like to be consistent with others.

A "Hide DLC" option would be nice for searching. About a quarter of the Final Fantasy search results are for DLC.

For now, you can hide DLC by choosing one of these for "Sort By"

Is the release date sorting biased towards NA date? It certainly seems that way looking at the Mario list where the games could be released years apart between regions.

I think it is. I once mentioned this like o et a year ago that in my opinion, it should take the oldest release date if there is a different date between regions. I prefer to know when a game was first released in the first place. That's how I've organized my Excel version of my backlog. But for the purpose of this site, I guess it's no big deal.

Released date uses the earliest date from NA and EU. If those are empty, it uses the JP release.

This is a English site made up of mostly NA and EU users so those are prioritized.

Seems odd to have any regional preference to me but oh well, I am looking for things that seem odd after all.

I was going to edit in a related question. Did the site originally only have one date field? Because that would explain the pattern I've noticed on many games that only have one date and it's the NA field. So many Japanese developed games have Japanese dates in the NA field which makes perfect sense if this was the case and no one has added the other regions yet. I'm not checking already filled in dates, unless it's only the NA one, in which case I'm frequently correcting it

Use GameFAQs as an example, all their front facing release dates are based on NA because it's a NA site. I extend that concept to EU.

I "think" the site has always had the 3 different release date fields but the site is 10 years old and I have personally added 99% of the games to this site myself.

In the early couple years I used less reliable sources for release dates, so if you are updating a game with <5k game ID. It's probably been a long time since it was updated unless I noticed something while doing submissions or someone submitted an edit. That's also why a lot of the games you are updating have the ? character instead of ' or " because those were added before the site used UTF-8, which was a LONG time ago.

I never fathomed the site would basically be a WIKI of data for all the game titles and the edit system wasn't even added until 4ish years in. I now take that data much more seriously.

Super late to this announcement, but thanks for this update Everdred! Just what I was looking for, it's perfect.

Edit: I looked around in the stats a little more, and noticed the games in my custom wishlist tab are being counted as 'cataloged' games. Granted I know that's a custom list and it's kinda a me problem, but is that as intended? I thought it would work by counting backlog+completed tab games or something. Or maybe a way to omit the wishlist for people like me that use a custom tab for wishlist? I don't know how the fine details worked and it's not a huge deal. It's still a fantastic addition, I'm mainly just curious about how to have an accurate stat on my end.

I'll cook up a solution for you, like counting the games from each individual category or something like that.

The ability to sort the "recently added" filter by edit order would be very helpful, at least for me.

Are there any potential plans for the ability to sync the website between video game distributors like Steam and Epic? It could greatly reduce the manual headache of adding big collections. Sure it's been discussed at length here, but I'm new and haven't had a chance to dive into the forum to deeply :)

Awesome site! Keep it up!

There is a Steam import feature. You can add your games that way, then you can launch it again but mark "Don't show games already in my hltb account" so that the only the new games you've bought since the last time you imported show up.

GamerAim might have balked when I played the "Arishok respect card," but she can't say anything about my shiny new "Everdred respect card." And unlike the Arishok, I will probably refrain from killing you in a duel.

FWIW...I oppose such features, on principle.

Yes, they may have been useful to me numerous times, but I never used them. I think that transparency in an open forum is paramount. Blocking people can actually deteriorate the quality of a community by creating a system of echo chambers and cliques. In a forum as small as this, one person getting minorly upset could throw entire conversations out of whack when they cease to be multi-sided.

Obviously, I know why you want it, but that's my 2 cents...
