If it's possible, I think opening up PMs between people listed as friends would be a good option - might be a good way to 'gate' PM conversations for those that want it as well, rather than a blanket 'block' because of profile visibility. Although, I'm not sure how many people are active on the forum and/or PMs while having a private profile, but I have to think there would be some.
At the least I think it's good to have some mechanism for choosing to end contact with someone, which seems to be in the mix anyway so right on!

Something that occurred to me, but would it be possible for quotes to come with a link or method that takes you to the location of the quote's post. Just in the "What's Up" thread, GamerAim quoted from a different thread (granted that's not a common occurrence (for now) but it's nevertheless possible) and to get context for the quoted post and follow the conversations I'd have to go digging around every thread and page to try and find it. A problem that gets worse with time as threads fill up more. There's ways to expedite the process no doubt, but feels like the easiest solution would just have quotes capable of taking you to the original location.

It's not a big deal but I posted a YouTube video with a start time and it either didn't parse it or doesn't make use of that feature. It would be nice if this was possible to use but at the same time it's obviously a very minor feature.

Would it be possible to add an option to choose if a custom tab counts towards the backlog count or not? I like to have multiple tabs to seperate my physical from my digital collection. I also have a tab for games I wish to complete during the current year. But all these games are not included in the backlog count.
Right now, my Retired percentage and remaning percentage are way off since I use the backlog tab for my physical games and there are WAY more games in my other tabs. In the options, there could be a check box called "include in backlog count" or something like that, besides the "Hide Tab" check box... or something like that.
It's just wierd to see that I have 28% remaining when I have 150 games completed and 350 more in all my differents tabs. Hopefully, this is simple to do. If not, I guess it's no big deal! :)

Backlog is generally used for what you're using your "Planned" list for, and what you're describing would go in the Retired tab.

I use Retired for that as well. I think it's meant to be a bit of both, and I just keep anything that I've started and plan on finishing in Playing. Ultimately it's up to you which lists you use though.

Any chance of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X being added as platforms soon? More and more games are being announced for them now and it'd be nice to be able to add them to my backlog.

My two cents/yen/euros
I don't see the point in adding any of these games to the site until the launch period gets going.
1) Even if you add them to your list and mark them with platforms, they won't appear in platform searches because there aren't any times linked to them. That doesn't stop people searching for them individually of course. But in terms of title discovery, it can make a difference.
2) We know very little about pretty much any games, it makes more sense to add them when we get solid release dates for the first games. This makes entering the information and maintaining it easier. Admittedly that's not a high concern for most users but as someone who actively contributes information to the database, waiting for launch makes the process much easier from my point of view rather than keep checking the entries.
It should be noted that I plan on maintaining the entries for the next gen games as they get released in order to ensure they don't add to the pile of entries that need work, so my opinion is based on that. On the other hand, I have a backup plan if Eevrdred wants to add games as they are announced.

I don't think the platforms themselves need added yet, but the games being added is fair IMO. Some people use their lists to track games they want to play, not just released games, so it's useful to do that.

Not only does it let people catalog games they plan on playing but it is probably better for the site when it comes to meta data/seo to have pages for these games when people are searching them.

Could we get forum badges on our user profiles? I always thought it was weird that they weren't displayed there.
