Interesting you latest update. Each post has a header and foot note now. Each post pops out more I think...

FWIW, I think you are right: the first option we saw before was not that bad. That said, it may just be a matter of acclimating to the new design so I won't be hasty in my judgement.

I will say, the first design at least made it clear that the list was related to the content. After seeing it in the footer, I think having it in the footer or header makes it look more like general user info (right now it reminds me of a forum signature), akin to the badges or - as I said - a forum signature.

I mostly like the new changes, just a few suggestions:
Aligning the lists and the post time (if feasible and looks good)?
Linking the list labels to the lists themselves (if it doesn't slow down the site too much).

Just chiming in to say that I really like seeing the list and playtime on people's posts for game-related threads. I never really look at other user's profiles, so this is a nice way to bring that info out a bit more and give it another purpose. Plus, I always think it helps to know where someone is coming from regarding how much time they've put into something. Nice one =)

Thank you! For everything of course but that was a point in particular I wanted to see too

- When you are reading a game specific thread, you will now see when a user has that game in their lists.
Great new feature. Question though what happens if you have the game list multiple times?

9 Yrs♥✓#
Looks like it only lists it once per list (that is, if you have it in two lists, it'll show both, but it won't show 'Completed' twice if you've replayed it). I think it grabs the oldest record first, in the case of duplicate times?

13 Yrs♥F✓#
It will combined all your playthroughs for that title. So if you have a backlog and a complete it will show both of those lists. If you completed it twice, it will show the completed list and the total amount of time invested in all your playthroughs.
For example if you look at The Evil Within 2 thread. I have completed the game twice and my information looks like this:
Lists: Completed
Played: 24h 16m

Interesting. I clearly didn't pay enough attention when I was testing :P
That does make more sense. Does it also include play time from incomplete games?

I'm not a fan of the new quote styles. IMO, it has low contrast against the white background (and I have a very good monitor). Combined with the single border on the left side, and the arrow bottoms on the right, it just...looks broken, somehow?

Looks great with the dark theme tho...

Well, then he can keep it with the dark theme; I use the light :P

Join the dark side... we have a better looking forum. 😜

Xbox Game Streaming just launched. I was wondering what category to put the games in.
Also, Xbox Series X category would probably need to be renamed to Xbox Series X/S.

Xbox One, if it's an Xbox One game. If it has Xbox 360 games, put those as Xbox 360. If original Xbox, put Xbox. For future Series X/S games, put it as those.
As the name says, it is "Xbox Game Streaming." That is, streaming game from Xbox. Whether the screen and controller are physically connected to the Xbox is irrelevant. It's running on an Xbox. (I think Game Streaming uses Xbox One S blades, to be specific.)

Cool. Thanks for the clarification.

Coming soon...
Soon, each title will have their platforms hard selected instead of community based.
This means more accurate platform list but it also means a lot of updating to the database.
Once the change over happens, it will pre-fill the platform with the current state. This will enable some features in the future, like having the platform select list be limited to the actual platforms of the title. This will eliminate confusion on "which platform to select".
Things to consider/discuss are handling backwards compatible games, streaming services (xCloud, Playstation Now), download services (Game Pass, etc.) and emulated games.
My thoughts are that all titles will be categorized with their original platforms, not backwards compatible platforms or streamed on platforms. Basically, which version of the game are you playing? This makes sorting previously submitted titles tricky and I'm still considering ways to handle that.
I've got a few things to sort out before I push the update but I wanted to give the community a heads up in case they had some considerations I didn't think of.

YES!!! This makes me happy!

I assumed the purpose of this update was to prevent people from adding games as a streaming service, backwards compatible, emulated, etc.?
If a user has a game listed as a platform that is later removed from that game (as I understand is the intent here, to trim platforms on titles down to be more accurate), what happens to their entry? Does it simply not factor into game stats (I'd prefer this, as a way to disincentivize inaccurate entries)?
If you do this, I'd like to see the streaming services removed. Ones like Stadia might be fine, since that's also a device and might(?) have exclusives. But, if possible to do on the backend, maybe have things like Stadia merged into PC for stat-keeping?
As for the issue of emulated: if you do keep the ability to record a game as being emulated, I'd propose that you ignore all such entries from affecting stats.

Wow, I never expected you to work on this. I figured it was some impossible dream giving the size of the task.
I guess I should end my pause on bulk editing soon *cracks knuckles* The change will also make bulk editing easier as now I've gotten to the larger platforms, they are filled with so many "false hits" it makes the task harder.
