Okay, I might have gotten confused here by equating the platforms set in the description of a game with the platforms users use to tag their playthroughs.

It still irks me personally that time pools are split nonsensically because of that in a lot of cases, but I realize now, that's more a "problem" based on user activity, not database organization, I guess.

I guess this was just a big old week-long brain fart of mine.

Gotta say, now that it's been pointed out, the inconsistency irks me too.

Hey, maybe now that The Most Respected Voice in Gaming has concurred with you, it'll change ;)

Will there be an option added to mass-edit a list for adding the storefront? I'd love to mark all of my games with the correct storefront but I really don't feel like going through 400+ games to do it hehe

I just started looking into and using the storefront feature. Nice to have another way to sort games. Can the following storefronts be added?

- Twitch
- Direct2Drive
- GamersGate

The first is helpful for people who get free games by subscribing to Amazon Prime; the other two mostly sell Steam keys nowadays but used to sell games you download directly from their site way back when. I have several games from all three of these that I can't categorize correctly on the site right now. Thanks!

I second this. I'm really pleased to see they've added storefront options now, but likely won't be using it myself because I just have way too many games on my lists. It would likely take a full day or two to edit all of them, lol.

Twitch wasn't added because it's now called "Amazon Game App". I even downloaded the Twitch app to see if I could still download from there but I couldn't. I will add the other 2.

I'll work on some bulk update systems. Not sure how it will play out yet but I'd like to find a solution for these situations.

This would be the way that I would correctly sort my Steam games as there are too many to do manually like I've done for other games - so I'm all for a bulk update system! I don't think it needs to be more than just selecting multiple titles from a list with check-boxes, then editing the common data fields, which I also think sounds a lot simpler than it would be to implement lol =)

Updating storefronts, and I could use one for Green Man Gaming.
Also Fanatical, uPlay, and the Oculus store.

Does it make sense to add options for Gamers Gate or Green Man Gaming, though? I mean, they don't provide launchers themselves, they always provide keys to some other storefront (steam/uplay/etc).

Uplay is still there, it's just called Ubisoft Connect now, because Ubisoft changed the name of there service fairly recently.

Hey, I was wondering if anyone had any idea what storefront I should list my NES games as. They are actually games I own on the Mini Nes but I asked here quite a long time ago now why there isn't a platform for mini NES and I was told it wasn't it's own platform, because all it does is emulate the original hardware, which apparently made it essentially the same thing as the NES and that I should just list my mini NES games as regular NES games, and that's what I've had them listed as for the last few years. But now I don't know what storefront I should list them as. They aren't physical because they are digitally pre-installed into the system and they aren't direct download because I didn't download them myself and they aren't from a specific online store either, so I'm torn on what I should list them as.

It would be nice if mini nes could be finally added as a platform too lol because I don't agree with it not being it's own thing.

Is "plug and play" not available as a platform? I don't think that adding a novelty plug and play system with a fixed collection of built-in games makes much sense.

Fair enough. A plug and play option actually would work well.

Now that I think about it, that would also work with this Street Fighter II joystick thingo I have that let's you play Street Fighter II by simply plugging some composite cables into a TV and than flipping a switch.

OOH! I thought you were implying that there was no plug and play option and that it would work for this situation. I didn't realise you were telling me that there is an actual plug and play option.

Besides. Hopefully EverDred can add a storefront option for "Built in" because I have the same problem with Streetpass Quest (Find Mii In the US) where I can't add a storefront because the game comes pre-installed with the 3DS.

No problem. I think a "built-in" or "preinstalled" option was suggested. I don't know if Everdred internalized that suggestion or what he did with it.

How many people actually work for this site? Because all I ever see is EverDred making changes, is he like the only person who runs the entire site and does everything himself?

Correct.

Well, game data can be submitted by users, but Everdred still has to approve it.

I think for Street Pass you should just list it as Nintendo Eshop anyway. Considering that you can redownload it from there if you ever decide to uninstall it.

I don't think you can uninstall it. Besides I still think built in should be an option since there's more than just the 3DS that has that problem, I don't know why but that really old windows xp or vista or whichever one it was game comes to mind. You know the pinball one? 3D Pinball: Space Cadet? That came preinstalled with windows and if I had that in my games list I wouldn't be able to list a storefront for it.

Man that games nostalgic...
