Nice. Never played the series before. Picked it up for free about an hour before it was due to end. Where did you spot that? I've been using the iPad app to keep tabs of the sale as I'm away from home, and it never highlighted that freebie.

My steam account asked me to put my username and password again and when i did it, appeared a window saying what was new and it said that L4D2 was free xD

I think I first saw it on Slickdeals, then /r/GameDeals, and then finally Steam updated to show it in the news section at some point. I don't think it popped up a notification about it or even the daily sale in general like it usually has before after I exited the game I was playing last night. /r/GameDeals is probably the best combination of easy/thorough. CAG may be the most thorough with the most info about stuff, but unless they've redone the site at some point in the past few years, the layout confuses the hell out of me, so I just wait a few minutes or sometimes an hour for people to repost stuff from there to somewhere else that understands the concept of UI/UX. Heh.

For this Steam Sale I had a budget of 140 dollars for this Steam Sale but I also had 75 in Gamestop cards that I used for PC downloads. (I love Christmas!)
