Most if not all of those have been daily/flash/community sales already, and Risk of Rain has been twice so far that I've seen, but they don't always come back around again. Of the ones I've played they're all great, and of the ones I haven't I've heard good things from other people, so at least there's that.

There are a lot of good ofers these days, and not only on Steam. Before you buy anything take the time to check if there's any other better deal here: https://isthereanydeal.com/

Steam Sale is over soon :-( but I snagged most everything I thought I might. My wishlist is about 10 games shorter, and I only bought one thing that wasn't on it. Final tally:
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs
Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth
Dyad
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
Gone Home
Spec Ops: The Line
Spelunky
The Stanley Parable
Super Hexagon
And additionally grabbed Paper Sorcerer and Legend of Grimrock from a bundle, and Tomb Raider (2013) off eBay for PS3.

I got Marlow Briggs and The Wolf Among Us. Hardly had to pay a penny for either by selling cards. Aaaand that about sums up my Steam sale.

I was very restrained this sale, but then I already have far too many unplayed PC games.
I got the bargain combo of XCOM: Enemy Unknown & The Bureau - its currently still available - only a few pennies more for getting it instead of XCOM:EU on its own!
I also got Enslaved: Journey To The West, which I paid for outright with store credit having sold 90+ trading cards that had been sitting in my account gathering digital dust. I had already played that on a PS3 rental when it first came out but really wanted to play it again on a superior machine as the PS3 didn't do it justice. Wonderful game.
Oh, and Delver, which is a fun little indie adventurer, somewhat like a cross between Skyrim and Doom with Minecraft graphics.

Well, Steam sales are almost over so I finally decided to grab some interesting stuff. Aside from that Final Fantasy VII I mentioned earlier, I got the following:
Divinity Original Sin
Ducktales HD
FarCry 3: Blood Dragon
Last Remnant
One Way Heroics
Risk of Rain
So, everything I mentioned in my earlier post except Titan Quest, plus two more I got just because they looked cool based on some trailers.

Not the best steam sale ever, by the way.
Now that we have weekly deals and many other websites with offers almost everyday it's not that good anymore... but still enjoyable :D

Also a lot of bundles, like two per week at least.

I was able to skip pretty much the whole sale without any problems. A friend of mine wanted terraria so I sold some of my cards and got enough to buy that game for him as a "surprise gift". The next day i noticed even more of my cards had sold overnight so i decided to buy myself brothers: a tale of two sons that has been on my wishlist since pretty much the release.
Maybe in a month I can start playing some games again. :)
