- New export list options (backlog, all)
- Update to email/forgotten password (Apparently emails were case sensitive before, sorry! Set your email again if you think you might have used uppercase).
- Random visual updates, mostly for new users or people that don't utilize all list types.

Seems good for the most part, but with it auto-focusing the search bar (which I kind of hate anyway, but I get why sites do it and why other people don't agree with me) I keep getting the search page popping up spontaneously when I load new pages. I was having this same problem with Firefox 54 and I was about write about it here but then it suddenly stopped doing that. For me, it seemed to take me to the search page whenever I tried to scroll forum posts with either mouse wheel or page up & down keys.

I personally prefer the old way but I've received a fair amount of feedback about it over the last year or 2. Usually every other week I get a tweet or comments from feedback page about it. Some people claim they couldn't even find the search page or that they thought they had to sign up for the site to even search. I'll see how users like it for now and go on that. I just upgraded to FF55 to see if it was any different (and I immediately regret my decision). Nope. Seems like any keyboard input while the search field is in focus will bring up the search overlay, even just hitting an arrow key while there's no text in it.

Just pushed an update. I've disabled Page Up, Down, Home, End, arrow keys and disabled autofocus to search on the submission page.

There seems to be an issue with entering certain characters in the new search bar. So far I've noticed it with these in particular

They work if I copy and paste them, but trying to type them from my keyboard with the Shift Key doesn't seem to work,

I'm on a Mac, could this be done so that I can press command down to get to the end of a page without it opening the search?

For anyone else who'd rather not have it do that who uses FF, there's a browser.autofocus setting in about:config that you can just change to false. Of course, that'll affect everything everywhere, but for me that's a net win.

I'm so sorry to keep popping up, but I just wanted to let you know that the image for the game I recently submitted, Monster Hotel, is wrong. There are actually two games called Monster Hotel, one for PS Mobile and one for iPhone/Android, and while I submitted my time and other information for the former, the picture is for the latter. This is totally my fault, I should've included a note when I was editing the game data. The closest I could find for a cover for the PS Mobile game was this, but that's tiny, so in case that doesn't work, perhaps the title screen would? This is all probably trivial in the grand scheme of things, but improbable as it may be it'd be unfortunate if the two were confused should someone want to submit their time for the iPhone game in the future. Then again, maybe not. Thanks.

Thank you very much for the info about submitting edits. I noticed this the other day and did so for the games I mentioned. I felt dumb for not noticing it myself before posting. Sorry about that! Thanks to whomever sees and approves such edits. My dates were updated in less than 24 hours I think which was very nice. I appreciate it. Thanks again.

Would it be possible to rate games on a scale at intervals of five rather than intervals of ten? By which I mean going 60% --> 65% --> 70% instead of 60% --> 70% --> 80%? I often find myself feeling a game is solidly in between two numbers rather than at either end. For example, I just finished Mario Party: Island Tour, and it's a 65% in my book; definitely better than a game I'd rate 60%, but not as good as a game I'd rate 70%. Am I alone in this line of thought? I mean, probably, but I thought I'd bring it up again. Thanks!

Perhaps so, but if you're rating things on a scale of 1-5 anyway, it's probably not likely that you feel the need to have three and a quarter stars as an option. Admittedly, this may be borne of my OCD wishing to accurately reflect my feelings on how I liked a game rather than rounding up or down, but the average ratings on game pages also don't round up or down. For example, there's no option to rate something 63%, but that can be a game's average rating (which, incidentally, becomes a not-completely-mathematically-sound-conversion of 3.2/5 when rating settings are on a scale of 1-5). I don't know, I mean I'll be the first to say that it's silly if you can't round an 81% or a 79% feeling to an 80%, but given the chasm between a 70% and an 80%, it doesn't seem, from the perspective of this layperson, too much to hope for.

Is there any chance we could have an option to have the "Time to Beat" visible when ordering the backlog by something else, like Global Score?

I completely agree with you mockturtle. There is nothing I wish more from this site than to be able to give more specific scores to the games. I'm talkin about full 1-100 scale. I know it might not be important for many people. It's just that numbers and I have a special relationship :D It's almost painful to not be able to give scores that really reflect my feelings for the game (even rounding from 79 to 80 is not something I like to do). Like mockturtle said, you could still rate the game 1-5 or 1-10, you'd just have an option to give a more accurate rating using the 1-100 scale.

But looking at the bigger picture, I don't know anything about managing a site like this, so if there is no easy way to just flip a switch to make changes to the rating system then maybe it's not worth it.

edit: I'll just add so this isn't just a "joke" post, I've been in that situation, wanting a bit more granularity to the scores, but not something I feel that passionate about to "campaign" for. Usually just feels like there's better stuff to be focused on, like what ChrisAsmadi suggested, keeping information on the lists when they get sorted.

Realistically in the grand scheme of things absolutely nothing. Unless you're Obsidian, and then it determines whether you get paid or not.

I personally find that much granularity useless outside of aggregate scores (like the average score given by everyone on this site combined). I've generally found that 5 stars (with half stars) tends to encourage me to use the largest amount of the full scale compared to other options. YMMV.

It's not just you. I tried a few things and stats don't load, clicking my username doesn't bring down that set of options, search doesn't work, etc.

@Mushe, that is unfortunate lol. Stick around though, these problems rarely last long :D

Same thing for me, both on Firefox and Chrome. Haven't tried it on mobile though.
