Yeah, only for games that have the same name but are very different per platform. A proposed solution to this thread.

FWIW - preferred the profile bg colours the way it was before w/out the graphic and with the more saturated colour... looks all washed out with such a low contrast! otherwise still digging the update =)

Background have been reverted. Sometimes you have to try things out and let them sit for a moment. Other changes have remained. I'm always messing around and experimenting in the background so things could still change.

I'll be interested to see how people feel about this previous style after adjusting to the new one. (Most of you are probably thinking "JUST MAKE A DECISION". The fickle mind of a web dev.)

I missed the playfulness of the colors. It is a website about video games after all. I did feel like the site was easier on the eyes though. I personally loved the background color of the user page and that was the one thing that everyone seemed to agree on disliking. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I may have to paginate the lists or something. I'll experiment.

I've been usign Edge for a while to update my games. But I've looged today with chrome and everything worked normally. Not sure what happend in the mean time but everything loads at correct speed. Glad it's fixed though.

I already got used to the dark theme, so it's a pity it's gone now. The dark grey especially I liked and it was easier on the eyes too, yeah. I also liked the red on the user page, which I mentioned earlier too. So hopefully the darker colors will be back eventually.

I downloaded Iridium latest version and they are working for me. Build 2018.4 on Windows

EDIT: found that it didn't work in Edge but figured out a fix. Hopefully this will fix what you were seeing too.

I'm not really fond of the change to the reviews tab, where it now defaults to sorting by date rather than score. Can we get a setting somewhere so we can choose what it defaults to? Not only was I used to how the site had worked for years, I prefer my sorting of reviews by score to quickly find the good and bad reviews, and its just one extra step now on every single game.

What browser are you using? Not much has changed from the old to new.

While it is outdated this is the only usable browser for me from performance perspective (not counting GUI modifications) and there are only few sites where I met some compatibility problems.
For them I use either Modern Firefox (works much slower and have memory leaks) or Chrome (works fast with 1-2 tabs but eats so much Ram that it unusable for me with more than 5 tabs).

My "Recent Games" list when I click my avatar in the upper right corner, is currently showing games I haven't touched in years.

Sora is basically correct. I was moving some data around and it changed the modified date. You will no longer see this happen, sorry for the inconvenience.

When a user's Twitch handle is set and they are currently live, it will now embed their stream on their profile. Keep in mind that Twitch API only updates every 5 minutes or so. It will take a moment to show up once live.

I'm not a fan darker backgrounds, therefore, customization is needed or setting "Classic Style".

Technically, it was 2 weeks before that but April 1st is the first day user profiles were part of the site. It used to be 100% anonymous submissions.

I noticed that on the mobile version, the progress timer is unavailable when editing a play through. This is slightly annoying as I usually have my phone on me and not, say, my ipad. Is there a specific reason for this? If not it would be great if you could add it.

Now if you import games you have to put the type playing/backlog/... seperate per game (or i miss something), would it be possible to also add it so you can choose too add that type for all the games to import all at once instead of per game

Is there a place to report incorrect or missing platforms from a game? For example 428: Shibuya Scramble is available on PS4 (also technically Wii and a couple others if you count non-localized Japanese versions).

Platforms are dynamically listed based on submissions. 2 approved submissions for that platform will make it display there. As an example, no one has completed the game on Wii so it hasn't appeared yet. That's why it's listed as Playable On. As time goes on, the game could be available on more platforms (Virtual consoles, backwards compat, etc.). This system doesn't force us to constantly update platforms for each title.

I know this is probably outside what you'd call a normal use case, but could support for text-based browsers be improved? I can't login when I try and use the site through w3m. Obviously I can use other browsers or I couldn't post this, but it's not ideal.

In my profile, in my handles, I want to add my NNID but I always get an error. It says: "Nintendo Network ID does not meet the requirements." My NNID is "xxxxxx.xxxxxx". Is it possible that the dot in it is the reason why this site won't accept it ? Is there a workaround for that ? Thanks !
