That's interesting, I'm pretty sure I added it as backlog from the start, but I'm not 100% certain.

I tried replicating this by adding another DLC in the same situation, but this time it isn't marked as a replay so I guess I must've marked it as completed as some point

Small quality of life update:

On the submit page you can now click on the title of the game or alias in the top header and it will apply that to your custom title.

You can see an example with Final Fantasy IX

Clicking on Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy 9 or FF9 will apply that to your custom title.

This allows you to quickly apply the alias name. Handy for older games where the EU and US titles are different.

that's very cool - have noticed a number of titles that have different names to here in Australia, so this will be very useful =)

This is just a suggestion and my very basic knowledge in coding cant grasp if this can be complicated.

But maybe for the completion section of our profiles (or backlogs too), the option to switch between a "list view" like we have now and a "gallery view" like how Steam has cover arts for your games, but here it would be box art.

I'm noticing that for Rage 2 most of the "usernames" are just a blank space. I would assume this was private users, but there are a few of them indicated as "private" so why are so many of them just blank? It is on other pages as well.

Yeah, those are anonymous submissions. It's always been like that.

Since private accounts are listed as "Private" wouldn't it make sense to put "Anonymous" for anonymous entries? If only for consistency and avoiding future confusion.

As Everdred is currently active in this thread I'm going to try again.

Can we have the following platforms added:

Nec PC-8800
Nec PC-9801/21
Nec PC-FX

Also can we please change the Turbografx-16/CD platforms to PC-Engine/Turbografx for the same reason I presume it's deliberately Mega Drive/Genesis and not just "Genesis".

Implementing a search by genre tag, or click on the tag on a game page to bring up games under that tag would be good to find similar games to play. Also makes it easy to looks at stats within a certain genre.

I know it's been posted a couple of times already, but I'd like to show further support for the idea:

Please create a way to mass edit games. I imported my steam library and something I did created hundreds of duplicates that I now have to delete one by one. It'd be amazing if there was a way to check a box next to each game and have the option to change their status and/or delete them all at once.

Thanks!

Could we have Valve Index added as a platform since that's coming out soon?

Perhaps you were mistaken, but Valve Index is not a platform. You require a PC (the platform) to use the headset. Adding it would be like adding Xbox 360 Controller or Dell SE198WFP as platforms.

And yes, this is my way of saying that Everdred should remove other PC VR headsets from the platform list. Most PC VR games can be played with any headset (even PSVR, in theory). At most (and this is still a stretch), the platforms should be SteamVR (supports most headsets), Oculus Store (only has native support for Rift AFAIK) and Windows Mixed Reality (Windows Store VR games only work on WMR headsets).

Ah I forgot such a thing is even possible. Guess I've never noticed or just hadn't seen a page with so many of them before.

Personally, I would list them all as PC too but some people like to use them for better cataloging their playthroughs. I like the site to give people the freedom to catalog however they'd like. It doesn't hurt to have additional platforms on the list.

I'd argue that it hurts the community by having games taxonomised incorrectly, but I guess it makes sense from an individual-focused POV. I certainly wouldn't want someone telling me off for using the Replays tab incorrectly ;)

Speaking of my personal preference, I like to see how many games I completed in recent years but don't like duplicate completions, so I only log my most recent playthrough and tag it as a replay so my times don't mislead first-timers. Could we have the replay icon only display in Replays tab or not display if a game is only logged once?

MS-DOS/DOSBox, Windows 3.x and Windows NT? It'd be interesting to have those marks on the list.

I have also considered PC branching in the Platform option so as an example you would have:

PC
- BBC Micro
- Commodore 64
- DOS
- Linux
- Mac
- MSX
- NEC PC-88
- Windows
- ZX Spectrum

Then they would all category as PC on the main game pages but would show whatever you chose on your personal page.

Thanks re:NEC

As for your PC list suggestion, I think that's a bad idea. For starters, five of those examples are not PC's and all of those five predate the idea of what we know of as a "PC". PC-88 is Z80 based so has the same cpu as a Spectrum, not really a PC. The Japanese x86 based formats (pc98, Towns) are very separate from the western PC, the architectures are completely different. They did eventually morph into "IBM PC compatible" but those periods are clearly separate and bundled into the general "PC" label (i.e. Dos/V based systems, TownsV and 9821 models that shipped with Windows 95.

If you are going to group PC platforms, Dos, Linux and Windows are obviously fine. Dosbox is just emulated Dos so there isn't a need for that. Mac is a very broad range and mixing it with PC doesn't make much sense to me. 68000 and PowerPc are not PC architectures as most would consider them.

I kinda get what you might mean, in which case a "Computer" and a "console" category might make more sense.
