There’s another bot:
https://howlongtobeat.com/forum.php?thread=1756&page=1&jump=to#post49401
We could make a thread solely for bot spotting unless everyone’s fine with posting them here.

A laptop rental bot? 🤣
Why would you want to rent a laptop? Well, I guess if you were doing something shady and didn't want your own laptop to get bogged down with viruses... or you didn't want the evidence to get traced back to you... In any case, I hope Dr. Wily is taking notes for the next Mega Man game. Laptop Rental Man is bound to be rather nefarious.

I like the idea of a different thread, that way when Everdred upgrades the site the update notes won't ge lost in a sea of bots. Btw, is it just me, or are we getting even more bots than usual?

Wanna bet that the referenced laptop is THE bot? 😆
@pokepaw I haven’t been here all that long but I didn’t really see many bots when I first registered. I think they’re multiplying. 😶

Bots deleted, sorry I'm a bit late. I'm on vacation. Been keeping up with subs and games but didn't get to the forum.

Woah, some actual site feedback instead of bot reporting (also thanks Illusera):
Everdred, is it planned or could we get the ability to filter our Completions by year? I'd like to see my completed 2019 games in alphabetical order. Alternatively, the Stats page, which already allows for filtering by year to show number of completions, could give a list of what those completions are for year and/or month? I know you're always a chap to improve sorting games where and when you can <3
P.S. Happy vacation.

Hello guys, I think It would be awesome If you could add a field like "How much o want to play this game", that goes from 0 to 10 so we can sort on our backlogs, and be less distracted playing games that are less important to us.

9 Yrs♥✓#
You can add a custom name for your games, so just prepend a number to the games and sort alphabetically.

Ion Fury has two game pages, probably because of the name change shortly before release.

Merged and updated, thanks.

Hey, love the site, awesome idea and great execution.
I do have a suggestion though, I don't know if it's already been suggested (tried to search for a bit but nothing came up) but I don't really like the way DLCs are displayed in the backlog.
My main problem is if that if you start adding DLCs to your backlog, it basically starts to be a giant mess. If I want to sort my backlog to find the quickest game to beat, I have to comb through dozens and dozens of DLC to really find a short standalone game. But on the contrary, if I sort by longest game to beat, the results may be wrong since it doesn't account for all the DLCs. It also inflates the number of games in your backlog to a number really far from the reality.
Of course the perfect solution would be to group Main games + DLC in the backlog, with the individual entries for the main game and all the DLCs hidden behind a expanding/collapsing link, but I know it can get tricky really quick to implement that kind of things so I just wanted to know if that's something that you have in mind for the future, something that you know need improvement or maybe there is a workaround I didn't think of?
Thanks again for the site.

Everdred, it looks like you've merged my Popful Mail submissions back into the previously existing entry. This is probably my fault for not noting this (I was originally making a forum post about various entries which needed attention) but these are actually four different games using the same source, but executed differently making them incompatible time wise with the most well known entry. https://www.hardcoregaming101.net/popful-mail/
I suspect the amount of games contributed to the merging as previous submissions when there are one or two new submissions for games in this manner have all gone through fine, and it is an unusual case to have so many. This is one of those submissions which is intended to preempt any confusion or "mis-filing".
There are technically four versions of Popful Mail: the PC88/98 original, and then ports to the PC Engine CD, Super Famicom and Sega CD, all released a few years later. While they all use the same concept, plot, and structure, most of these are very different.

The other ones you submitted were separated but that game I decided to flag as platform specific. This means that if the times are different it will break them in to separate entries on the same game page.
There are just too many variations of the title all released in the same year. There won't ever be enough submissions for these different versions to warrant separate pages and I try to avoid having (Platform, Year) in titles, only (Year).
Corpse Party is an example of this:

Well that's fair enough I guess, It also helps me decide what to do over the first Brandish game, presentation aside, there doesn't seem to be any major gameplay changes from PC98 to Snes so I won't submit a separate listing which I was already leaning to tbh.
A few random points to make:
- Graduation has the art for the sequel. Here is the correct art
- Since I asked for the NEC platforms to be added its been clear that there is a standard way of referring to these as either PC-88 and PC-98 or PC88 and PC98. Could you please change them to reflect this. I should start submitting actual times for PC98 next week.
- I often find I lose my position when doing searches on longer results (such as browsing by platform, sorting by time etc) because the search results are a "soft" load. Is there any scope for introducing a "hard" search page that doesn't loose its position if you misclick to another page? Not necessarily from the top search box but maybe as a separate page or a button to goto a hard search?
- PEGI is a relatively recent ratings system in Europe, might be useful to append ELSPA to the ratings field for Europe for pre 2003 games. It might encourage people to add ratings for older games.

Some Duplicates:
Mushihime-sama Futari and Mushihimesama Futari
Eve: Burst Error and Eve Burst Error - There shouldn't be a colon in the title, no release (including the pre/sequals) uses a colon.

This is a minor thing but I noticed the boxarts for Fire Emblem: Three Houses and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are the placeholder boxarts/ images and not the final release boxarts.

Sorry to bring this up again, but nobody responded last time. Would you consider adding Valve Index as a platform, since other VR headsets are listed separately? I'm going to be getting one soon and I'd rather not list stuff under Vive or PC.

Thanks for the various corrections. Also note, any box art changes may take a bit to appear due to caching.

Site Update:
90% of pages have had minor updates today to improve Lighthouse scores (website audits).

The goal is that you don't notice anything but with every update, there is potential that I miss something.

Super Puzzle Fighter II is just a name variant of Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. All the non-gba versions, including the arcade original include Turbo in the title. I've added the name as an alternate title on the main page, not sure it really helps in this case.
