I was wondering if wishlist could be added as an official tab? It seems that many including me use the custom tab for a wishlist and I would like to create a new custom tab to put games I intend to play next.
I guess being able to create 2 custom tabs would also work but I thought creating a wishlist tab would make sense after seeing this thread (https://howlongtobeat.com/forum.php?&thread=1250) and maybe we could get stats on games people are looking forward the most? Also might be easier to implement I dunno.
That aside I've been using hltb for 2 years to keep track of my games and I love it, thanks

I'm for this idea if it's not too much trouble. I wouldn't mind repurposing my Custom for "On Hold" and putting my wishlist elsewhere. It's mainly for one game but mentally I see it as actively playing when I know otherwise. 😅

Minor new feature:
When you check RETIRED, a Retirement Note text field will now show up:

At some point this will be viewable on the game page, just like the completion notes. Helpful for people to see why a game was retired by the community.

That's a very good idea! It one thing to know why a game as a low rating, but it's also good to know why a game is not appreciated. Very good update!

On our personal stats page, it'd be nice if we could see base game completions vs DLC completions like we can on our completion lists.

Oh wow this is a great idea. I think this will give a lot more incentive for users to report their retirements, knowing that their notes can give extra context now. I know I've held off on submitting games as retired in the past because I was worried it would make others think I just didn't like it (when in reality, half of my retirements are simply because certain games might be too big an investment when I'm particularly busy, or I just wasn't in the right mindset to fully appreciate it at the time). Thanks for the new feature!

I had some outdated API stuff for Twitch, I've updated to the new version.
Your Twitch steam will show up on your profile when you are live (again).

Which lists does "% Remaining" look at? Just Backlog and Completed? And "% Retired?"

Since other VR headsets are listed separately, could Valve Index be added as a platform? Alternatively, SteamVR as a platform instead of Vive/Index/etc.?
I'd like to differentiate VR games in my backlog and completions from normal PC games and would rather not submit them as HTC Vive when that's inaccurate.

Conversely, is there a good reason to separate any of the PC VR systems at all and not just have “PC VR”? While the technical specs vary, they are essentially all similar ways to play mostly the same games. I don’t think the systems are really so different outside of resolutions and image quality or minor control accuracy.
If you keep adding new headsets it’ll just get to the point where it’s silly. And the brandings are only a “platform” in a very loose sense which usually means dedicated stores.

Yeah, it will definitely get out of hand eventually, but if I'm not mistaken there are PC VR games on the Oculus store that are exclusive to Oculus, aren't there? I mean, you can technically play them on Vive or Index but that requires a third party program. So maybe SteamVR and Oculus Rift separately? And obviously keep Oculus Go and Oculus Quest separate because those are standalone.

9 Yrs♥✓#
Technically, any PC game from Steam, Epic, etc. requires a third-party program to play. Oculus Store is a third-party program itself.

9 Yrs✓#
Yeah, I meant as opposed to something made by Valve or Oculus; third party wasn't the right term :P

And with an update (not sure if out yet) the Quest can act just like a Rift S through USB.
Usually a platform can get added if it has exclusive titles, but I'm in favor of PC VR or something similar.
As someone else stated, it's going to start getting out of hand as more VR manufacturers get involved.

I get that, and I can see the line you're drawing, but how many lines do we draw before a couple boxes becomes a ream of graph paper?
I'll accept whatever Everdred decides, but I think we shouldn't even distinguish PC VR. If a game has a distinct VR port, add it as a different game (like Skyrim VR). Otherwise it's not really different? If I play Fallout: New Vegas on a Samsung Odyssey using vorpX, it's still the same game as it was in 2010. There's no separate PC VR port of the game.
Skyrim VR is the same game on a Rift, Rift S, Odyssey, Odyssey+, Acer/Dell/Asus/HP WMR, Vive, Vive Plus, Index, etc. And it's already its own game on HLTB, separate from Skyrim and Skyrim Special Edition. A headset is, as I've said, effectively a display and controllers, and God forbid Everdred start adding every monitor and input device to platforms. Just put your headset in the completion notes if you absolutely need other people to know it was in VR.

You're totally right, and I should be clear, this isn't a big deal at all. My profile is private, so this is entirely me just being very particular about how my games are displayed because I have a huge backlog.
I did think of a different solution, though I'm not sure if it would be possible. Maybe if a game has the Virtual Reality perspective tag, a VR checkbox could appear under Platform on the submission page, and those submissions would show up on your profile as PC (VR), or something like that. The obvious problem with that as it is right now is that that tag seems to only be on games that are VR-only, not games with optional VR. Maybe VR could be added as an option under Additional Modes instead? I dunno, I'm just throwing stuff out there.

9 Yrs♥✓#
You could add the Virtual Reality perspective to any game, yourself. What games come to mind?

9 Yrs✓#
...Actually, now that I'm trying to think of some, there aren't nearly as many as I thought. It wouldn't be too much trouble to add the tag to those few.

Just a heads up, I'm seeing extra ads on the site through mobile. These were not approved by me. Google has apparently taken liberty to do whatever they want.
I'll look into it shortly.
EDIT: Apparently Google decided to turn on Auto Ads, I've disabled it.
