Given the situation, I think it's a good idea. 👍

Yep. For now, I will not implement on the forum to avoid annoying users but I implement it somewhere so it's easy to port over if needed.

What does this mean for existing users?

On a site I used to administrate, we'd turn things on and off depending on whether we were seeing an influx of bots. Always nice to have a safety net like that.

When you log in you'll have to complete a reCaptcha by clicking on a check box. That's it.

9 Yrs♥✓#
Okay. I have my browser keep me logged in. Will that change now?

Is it just me, or is the game timer button gone?

9 Yrs♥✓#
Nope. Nevermind. I just forgot where it was and how time tracking on the site worked...
I'm all good, Everdred!

Recaptcha in newer versions doesn't always make you tag all the traffic lights etc. Google predetermines whether you need to do the test(s).

I was wondering if theres a way of making it so that in my list, it says that i completed tomb raider before the DLC because i completed them both on the same day and because tomb raider comes before tomb raider: tomb of the lost adventurer DLC in alphabetical order, it actually puts them in the wrong spot when ordered by date completed

I completed the DLC after the i completed the main game

I think it uses the "updated" value to sort completions on the same day
so your main game completion was updated 1.5 hours ago, while your DLC completion was updated 3.5 days ago - try 'updating' your DLC entry and it might shove it to the top of the list =)
(even just edit it, change something, then change it back)

Thanks, it worked

Note: not even necessary to change anything. Just hit edit.

I've seen two posts disapear in the past 30 minutes. I don't know what's going on. One of them was in the Video Game Book Cluv and the other in the Free game thread...

Presumably the free game post was mine, because I can’t see it.

I restarted database services a little while ago, could have been related to that. Please let me know if you notice anything else.

9 Yrs♥$✓#
That's the first one I noticed where you said it was zero pounds on your end. Another post like that "dissapeared" from the Book Club Thread. I haven't noticed anuthing else like that. Only these two.

Thank goodness my Trump joke survived!
Seriously, I referenced COVID19 without offending anyone? What a time to be alive ;)

13 Yrs♥F✓#
Yeah, that was very close to when I did the restart.
It's likely that the restart got initiated, created a save state, a couple things got written after. It restarts and then restores to the save state and dropped those records it wasn't aware of. It has to have a cut point so that no data is corrupted.
Either way... I've been extremely paranoid the last couple days lol

To be honest, my hosting company actually did it because of a ticket I had with them but it didn't need to be done so I was pretty annoyed that it happened.

How do we feel about adding platform "PC VR" and then removing:
HTC Vive
Oculus Rift
I would keep Oculus Go and Quest because they are standalone devices.

I've argued this should.be the case previously. Seperate entries will only get worse as new headsets come along and the differences in headsets are no different than say, people using different graphics cards or using an Xbox pad or a Dual Shock on a PC game. The headsets aren't platforms, they are all running on PC. The compatibility differences that do/did exist are largely being eradicated as people stop limiting support to certain headsets. Valve support all headsets in SteamVR for example.
As you say, Go and Quest are more specialist by their nature and do get a different experience with their own subset of optimised versions. And if people use the Quest tethered to a PC to play PC games in VR, they can then use the PC VR option as well.

There is an argument for both since different VR sets have their own stores and some games are only compatible with certain headsets, but there isn't really a lot of benefit in separating them and they will only get more and more fractured as time goes on. It would probably make more sense to combine them all unless they can be played without a PC.
