Oh nice. I'll join in.
Books
I got hit with the mood to reread Discworld in chronological order and you can see the effect of that. I'm currently in the middle of a reread of Yule be Sorry by Kim M. Watt then I'll be rereading Hogfather in time for Christmas; it's an annual reread for the holidays and my chrono reread timed out very well as that's next in line anyway. With those two I'll hit my goal of 55 books this year.
Shows/Movies
I don't watch much very often but I did get a few things in this year:
A lot of David Tennant this year haha. We always watch the TV movie adaptation of Hogfather on Christmas Eve so that'll be coming too.

Alright! I'm happy you started this thread, I would have otherwise created one as well later in December.
After several years of basically not reading at all - with the exceptions of 1-2 work-related books per year and visual novels if you want to count them - I have gotten back into reading in 2023. All thanks to Warhammer 40k which I've discovered for myself this year.
I just went ahead out of curiosity, watched a few lore videos on YouTube, found them amazing and picked up my first book. Fast forward 12 months and I have read14 books (currently halfway through number 15) 15 books and 15 short stories in the W40k universe. Quite nice for someone who didn't read anymore. ;)
The 15 short stories ranged typically around 20 pages, with one larger one, The Magos - 201 pages, really more of a proper forth novel in the Eisenhorn series.
I've finished in chronological order:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
S tier
Void Stalker, Necropolis
A tier
First and Only, Ghostmaker, Malleus, Hereticus, Soul Hunter, Blood Reaver
B tier
Xenos, Nightbringer, Warriors of Ultramar, The Traitor's Hand
C tier
For the Emperor, The Watcher in the Rain
D tier
Caves of Ice
No order within a tier. What do the tiers mean? No idea ;) I liked reading all these books, to varying degrees, and this ranking of mine is just to emphasize different levels of enjoyment.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My goal for 2024 is to read 15 more books in W40k. So far I had mostly followed guides on which books are best for beginners in W40k. Now I'm just going with whatever seems interesting. Although, I want to keep some chronologic order and I'd like to start with the Horus Heresy "branch".

There are some nice titles here, I'll probably snag a few. I tend to neglect 1 hobby over another, so instead of a specific goal I'd like to just keep everything in balance.😅 I've fallen off a few times but I've been trying to do 1 book, 1 game, and so on.

Ah, I just saw they there's a goodread year overview, so why not share mine here:
https://www.goodreads.com/user/year_in_books/2023/160435156
Unfortunately, the page numbers are all wrong. I read almost exclusively Omnibus editions and, just like on HLTB, I'm not going to log 3 books/games as 1 completion. So I chose random editions (the ones with the best cover).
I've only discovered goodreads this year as I've basically not been reading for a while. And while I hear often that people don't like it because it belongs to amazon and/or because the design is, in their opinion, outdated, I actually really like the site.
