Delete whole backlog list? (Now Available)

I just managed to add my steam games twice to my collection. It looks really dumb now.

Any way to nuke the backlog and start from scratch?

There is not an official way, but I have cleared your list for you manually. Your profile statistics will update the next time you update your account.

Good guy Everdred over here, he also has to do it manually but people keep asking and he keeps on doing. Not all heros wear capes, a true hero right here.

If he has to keep doing it manually, this may be something to add as functionality.

I'd be worried about adding a button that says "NUKE MY BACKLOG" because then this thread becomes a "I accidentally deleted my backlog, can you restore it" thread, and we're right back where we started.

Maybe something more elegant like a check box system might be useful. This way the ser can select multiple games (either manually, by filter, all at one, whetever) and then choose to delete them. The added steps can reduce user error since there is finer control and more time to think about what is being done. Otherwise, the only option at the user's disposal is the eliminate them all 1 at a time.

Or a somewhat safe-ish way to add a "NUKE MY BACKLOG" button could be to have it require confirmation. Not just clicking a button that pops up asking if you're sure, but maybe something like entering a code it sends via email or whatever.

I think you mean your whole playthroguhs, to nuke your entire account would be deleting it and all associated data.

8 YEARS LATER and this thread was still useful to me. Thank you Everdred, you hero, for responding to user feedback so kindly and so quickly. I deleted my whole 3,225 long backlog full of duplicates in your name.
